[Resolved]  UniverCell — Worst Service

I am reproducing the complaint letter sent to the MD Univercell. stil the problems are not solved.

Dear Sir,

I would like to brief my experience in your Parrys branch.

I have visited your Parry’s branch for buying a new mobile. My requirement was a mobile with GPRS and Qwerty model.

Your Executive Mr.Deva received me and suggested a mobile model Karbonn K10. Accepting his suggestion I bought the mobile. Date of purchase 08/03/2010. Bill No.p.pys/24948. Subsequently also I bought two more mobiles from the show room. Bill No. p.pys/25932, p.pys/ bill misplaced.

But, my last visit at the time of buying my 3rd phone was not satisfactory. Whenever I buy I used to get two Sims free. For the 3rd phone also I insisted for two Sims free. But the sales girl refused to give as free and collected Rs.110/- from me. She received various documents for issuing the SIM card had not submitted at all to the service provider. This resulted in deactivation of the sim by the service provider (phone numbers [protected], [protected]).

After one month time I found that the Karbonn K10 started giving trouble and also the colors started fading. Immediately I complained to Mr.Deva, he assured me of providing a stand by phone and agreed to collect my phone for repairs. Till date he had not done so. Even yesterday (16/06/2010) I went to your showroom after calling him over phone. But he was not available in the show room.

Once again I returned without solving the issues.

Regarding this I have already informed your customer service. They called me back and assured of solving the issue. But no body had bothered to solving the issue. All the phone numbers and addresses given in the karbonn service guide are false. I could not trace out the service station. So, I relied on your show room to get it repairs.

The problems now I am facing is :-
1. the display screen is not clear.
2. the keys colors faded.
3. the joypad is not functioning properly.
4. there is electric shock while using the phone when connected to the laptop or even the Charger.
5. some times the phone turns off automatically.

My strong feeler is that the hand set which was sold to me could be a used one and not a crossed the quality check.

Please do the needful and avoid unpleasantness.

i bought a lg mobile from univercell last month, the people over there in univercell convinced me to get the mobile..but the product is not at all good..within 2 months my speaker got repaired, now iam planning to get a new mobile...people please aware of this...
I would agree in such a way the Univercell executives try to convenience the customer to just sale the mobiles and not realizing the exact value of the product.

It’s also the customer responsibility as well to analyze a product before buying the same, by contacting more than one mobile store or so.

Any way thanks for sharing your experience!!! And guys, be aware while dealing with such show rooms.
Yeah customer service is poor. you wont get proper response and waste buying the mobile particularly in that showroom
I took samsung galaxy grand on 2nd march 2013 in UNIVERCELL shop madiwala Bangalore.They promise to give HANGOUT HEADSET as a complementary before buying but now they are not responding properly on call and personally too. And simply giving reasons as NO STOCK. it already 1 month over. I am fed up of them.
I Have purchased a Karbann A1* mobile from Univercell Ramapuram Branch on 20th May 2014. Since 3rd month of purchase mobile started giving problems(Speaker problem & frequent restarting). At one point of time mobile got switched off never get on after that. I Met the Univercell Ramapuram Branch Executive and given it for service on 10th Sep 2014. Initially they informed that you will get a call from service centre once it repaired in a weeks time. I haven't got any call from service centre, I called them after a weeks time then they informed that it will take 10 to 15 days so please call after that window period. Once the 15 days over I called them on 27th Sep 2014. They Executive informed that still it is in process and provided Some contact details(Ravi [protected]) to call the Service centre itself and check the status. When I called him, he informed that the process is not yet started because we cannot cover the under warranty, service will be done only upon chargeable basis. I Enquired further why should i pay for it when i have not made any kind of damage to the mobile, And also why are you bringing this concern to me now after i follow up with you, why didn't you inform all these details in few days when you got for service, and you kept the mobile without done anything for 15 days. The guy who spoken to me just said simple if you want any more details please call Jai ([protected]) he will assist you. I called Jai as well, he said that he's busy and call after sometimes for twice later on he didn't pick the calls. I got frustrated with the service and stopped following with those guys and left them to take their own time to repair that. Later on i received a call on 5th of October from service centre stating the same that it will be chargeable, i agreed for that and asked them to do the service quickly, but they said if it is repaired you will get a call from service centre maximum in a weeks time. I didn't got any call from anyone, I Called the showroom again and asked on 21st Oct for the status. They said that it is still in process only we cannot check the status on this now please call after few days. This makes me think about to escalate these kind of third class service.

It is highly frustrating me a lot. Don't know to whom should i complaint or escalate on this. I don't see any one is taking care about the customer problems and they are only curious about selling product but not try to maintain their standard, once the product is sold they just got beneficiary and not try to make the customer benefit. I Felt very clearly that i done 2 mistakes in the past. One is that i bought a new mobile from Univercell who doesn't have credibility of maintaining the customers relationship by making this sure which is came to their notice. Second mistake is that i bought the mobile from third class Karbann Brand, who is not making a quality products and made the their pockets only filled but not the customers satisfaction. These things made a mind set of not to believe the new growing companies and to buy only Quality products from the branded companies.


Please guide me how to take it forward...
