Aircel Prepaid — Unwanted calls

I started using an Aircel prepaid number recently, Service is good. But i am getting almost 10 unwanted calls (aircel advertisement calls) and messages. So to avoid this i spoke to the customer care they suggested to send SMS "START DND" to 1019, and they told this will be solved after 45 days. This is crazy how come activation takes 30 min, but deactivation takes 45 days? it might be small database change. These calls are too disturbing while in working hours and leisure time also.

With reference to your feedback updated in website, this is to inform you that your Aircel number is not registered in National do not disturb Registry.
We request you to register for same, either by calling or sending SMS with keywords "START DND" to "1909" at free of cost.

The telecom service provider will acknowledge the request within ten days and requests will become effective in 45 days from the date of request.

My friend I must tell you that the DND service is a government regulatory service under which telecom operators cannot send you any kind of promotional messages or calls. It is a normal procedure and does take 45 days to activate such a service on your number.
i'm not getting incoming message from our cell and please delete the unwanted call and msg.i has send the msg to deactivate call and msg.
I totally agree with your complaint. I am also a victim of such calls and messages from AIRCEL. I wonder who gave them the authority to make such calls and messages. You rightly pointed " Activation takes jst few minutes and deactivation takes 45 days". How can they steal our time like this. The customer service cell is not at supporting. They simply says as per TRAI regulations, its been done (As if TRAI has initiate AIRCEL to make such promotional calls and messages). I am thinking of closing my connection with aircel since there is a limit for everything...
