[Resolved] Videocon Industries Ltd. — CARELESS AND CALLOUS ATTITUDE OF VIDEOCON EMPLOYEES | |||
Sir, I had purchased a Electrolux Fully Automatic Washing machine in the year 2000.After it ran satisfactorily for 6 years it started giving small troubles and therefore again I went for fully automatic imported Electrolux washing machine in exchange scheme on 2nd August'2006.It ran well for 3 years but 3 months back it's spinner stopped functioning.I dialled up the videocon call centre at Kolkata and they assured me to solve the problem within 48 hours.The next day a mechanic from Rana Agency,Bhubaneswar visited my house,inspected the machine and charged Rs.150/for making the suggestion that some bearing change is required which would be carried out at their work shop and promised me to lift the machine the next day from my house.But no body turned up and I continued with the faulty machine.Suddenly one month back the machine completely stopped functioning and again I dialled up the call centre at Kolkata and requested them to send a mechanic from Videocon and not from the service agency. The next day, a mechanic Mr.Panda(Mob-[protected])from Videocon, Bhubaneswar office, visited my house,inspected the machine and told me that the problem is beyond their control and suggested me to talk to their Area Sales Incharge or Branch Sales Incharge. Immediately I contacted Mr.Siba Prasad das,the ASI of Bhubaneswar(Mob-[protected]) but inspite of several trials he didn't pick up my call.Then I contacted Mr.Ashoak Nayak,the Branch sales Incharge of Bhubaneswar over his mobile([protected]) who happened to be in New Delhi on that day and responded my call.He asked me some questions about the machine and promised me to sort out the problem by next day by instructing his ASI Mr.Das .The next day when nobody turned up I dialled up Mr.Das,ASI who fortunately picked up my call,asked me some question like who visited my house etc.and promised me to send the mechanic by next day. sir,two weeks have already passed but since then nobody from videocon turned up to sort out the problem.mean while,also i have tried several times to call Mr.Das,ASI,Bhubaneswar but he has not been picking up my phone for the reason beyond my comprehension.I have also tried to contact Mr.Nayak,BSI but his mobile has been out of network coverage. Sir,I'm at my wit's end and in peril by the trying and testing of my patience by Videocon employees.I have devised a three pronged strategy to address my problem. 1)File a case against videocon and mr. Dhoot,it's Chairman. 2)Write a letter to Mr.Dhoot citing all this with details. 3)Publish an article in both National and Local news paper mentioning about it's products,people,ethics and service delivery level. I request your kind suggestion on this. I think, after the take over of electrolux washing machine operation in India Videocon owes the moral,ethical ,social and corporate responsibility to cater to the genuine needs of the customers who had earlier gone for electrolux washing machine.
