[Resolved] Voltas Ac — Defective AC | |||
This is regarding Volta Vertis Classic (1 Start Rated) 1.5 Ton Window AC (Bought on the name of my wife Arjita Sahay)I bought, almost a month ago, from Bansal Electronics, Panchkula, Haryana. When I went to the electronics showroom that fateful day, I wanted to buy a Samsung AC but after lot of deliberations and discussions with my friends I decided to go for Voltas in spite of the fact that it was is going to cost me 2000 rupees more. The only factor that made me change my mind and not to go for Samsung was the brand name that Voltas has. But sadly I didn’t know that I have made a terrible mistake by not going for Samsung. The ordeal started when I realized that there is some problem with the AC, the Compressor gets cut off at 29 degrees irrespective of the set temperature. On 15th of April, 2010 I called up the Voltas Customer Care to register my 1st complaint (Complaint No.: 10AP1601692) and your representative assured me of prompt action but there was no response from your side for 3 days. I gave another call to your Customer Care on 19/04/2010 and to my utter surprise I came to know that the Complaint has been closed, without even any action on the same so a new complaint was registered (Complaint No.: 10AP2103965). On Monday evening I got a call from Mr.Devinder Singh (Owner of Kool Point, Voltas Service centre in Chandigarh) and he promised me to get the problem rectified by next day but again there was no sign of him for next 2 days (In spite of my numerous calls to the service centre). Finally, on 21/04/2010 the technician visited my place and found that there is some problem with the PCB of the AC and it has to be repaired so it was decided that PCB would be sent for repair on 23/04/2010 and it would be fitted back by 24/04/2010 evening. But again no one turned up on 23rd morning to fetch the PCB. On 26/04/2010 I called up customer care again and came to know that Complaint No.: 10AP2103965 also has been closed, I asked your representative to connect me to your Escalation Dept. but I was put on indefinite Hold and the call was disconnected (So I was unable to register a new complaint). So I called up Kool Point again and after I threatened them to take stern action they sent the technician at 9:30 PM in the night but he was not able to rectify the fault. Finally, today morning the technician visited my place and took the AC PCB for repairs and I have been assured that PCB will be repaired by today evening (the funny part is that the technician has asked me to give him a reminder call to fit he PCB today itself) I don’t know who is responsible for this mess is it the Service Center, Kool Point or Voltas, for the most unresponsive and pathetic after sales service or myself to have committed a blunder by purchasing a Voltas AC. VOLTAS — non starting after light comes again
a/c complainwhen light goes ac goes off
and when light/power comes ac has to be started manually but it should start automatically as in more cases it happen in other models of ac
we bought 20 split airconditioners of voltas and installed in Indian oil Panipat refinery and after a regular follow up with the services center nobody has come to attend the call n even now they stopped picking up

I am writing to inform you about one of the WORST customer service I experienced in last one month.
I registered a complaint no 10JU2304369 on June 23, 2010.
Continuously followed it up for one month and every time I got only got assurance that it will be resolved by tomorrow.
When I called up today I was told that the complaint has been closed and the reason is "by mistake the customer care executive recorded the pin code wrong" and I have been assigned a new compliant number 10JU2302052.
I have few queries:
1. Is the pin code so important and complex that even if the entire address is correct you can only discover this after one month.
2. Is the any service level which a customer can expect or you can just close the complaint that has been pending for over a month without even informing the customer?
3. Is there any higher authority to whom I can escalate this issue because after this incident I don't think that this complain is going to be resolved in next few months.

I had a very bad experience with Voltas AC, I think I had done a mistake to buy a Voltas AC. The date of purchasing the Split AC a/w stabilizer is 07th Feburary-2012 vide cash memo no.1381 from local authorized distributor M/S Saugat,105-106,Rai Market, Ambala Cantt.(Copy enclosed).To avoid any dispute ,I had get installation of AC done through same dealer. From the 1st day the AC was not working properly. I had complaint for split ac on 22.06.2012 on customer care, having no. 12AU2208935, for sending service engineer for demonstration and for 1st free service coupon service. After that, many a times I had called your service centre/customer care. But your engineers not attended.Finally, the AC become dead suddenely, accordingly I had complaint for split ac on 18.08.2012 on customer care, having no. 12AU1800189, but dealer has cleared the complaint by giving false statement, that there was no light, whereas in actual nobody contacted me. I again registered complaint no.12AU3001871 on 30.08.2012, some person reached and taken out kit from AC on same day. When contacted, they replied it will take about 6 months to replace as kit has been sent to company. The AC becomes defective In the summer when temperature is 45 degree approx. I regularly contacted your help centre dated04.09.2012, 13.09.2012, 15.09.2012 & 17.09.2012.Today also on phone support your employees again advised to register complaint on website. On dated 12.10.2012, I also contacted your Mumbai head quarter, from there they advised to talk to Mr.Ashok Kumar on cell no. [protected].Mr. Ashok Kumar advised me to send my problem through sms,which I had sent immediately. Despite of all the above efforts, the complaint is still pending. I hereby want to bring to your notice that this AC is faulty since beginning, therefore please arrange to replace at earliest with extended warranty for one year i.e. up to next complete season ,otherwise I have to get it replaced through consumer forum Ambala .

SAMSUNG 1.5 TR AC — Regarding not rectifying the defects in AC
Dear sir,I have purchased 1.5 ton SAMSUNG AC from Jagat Farm, Greater Noida. But only 4 or 5 times I used it because I am usually out of station. But on 29/08/09 when I stated AC It was not cooling.
I have complainted to costumer care on 29/08/09 regarding not working of A/C. My complaint No. is [protected]. The person came today and said that the condensor is leak & it will be changed, when it will come from company. It means that it is the manufacturing Defect. Leak was not detected at the time of manufacturing. When the problem is from the companys side, then why I am bearing it. Kindly Change my AC at once.
