[Resolved] Whirlpool — UNSATISFACTOY PERFORMACE OF WASHING MACHINE | |
TO, MANAGING DIRECTOR, WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA LTD, SUB:- Un-satisfactory performance of washing machine, Poor after sale service by the dealer, insurance policy of Rs.1 Lac cost not received ( verbal commitment by dealer at the time of purchase) against purchase of washing machine (Make- WHIRLPOOL) 7.0 KG capacity. MODEL:- WM SI70-L, GREY, S.NO:-INS[protected]. R/sir, I had purchased washing machine 7.0 kg capacity of your company from M/S Aggarwal electronics Main Bazaar Naraingarh (Ambala) on 06/11/07 having bill no-191 costing Rs. 8600/- .At the time of purchase, M/S Aggarwal committed to me that company will provide Insurance covering households costing Rs. 1 Lac & Original policy would be dispatched at my home address later. However, till now, I have not received any Insurance policy worth Rs. 1 Lac. I approached so many times to the dealer for getting Insurance policy through telephone & visited his shop in person. But no positive response has been received till date. After one week from the date of purchase excessive vibration were noticed during idle running & some components were found malfunctioning and damaged. Further, a complaint regarding this, was lodged with M/S Aggarwal on telephone and personally. He visited my home and checked the faulty machine .He committed verbally that he would approach the company regarding rectification of fault. The shopkeeper and the company have done nothing so for .I had got repaired the machine from the private mechanic on my own as my work was suffering despite machine being under warrantee .The service of the shopkeeper towards customer is not up to the mark. The customer cannot approach the company for minor / major problem at the very first. It is the duty of shopkeeper to attend the customer’s complaint at his level. After some time, M/S Aggarwal closed the shop and engaged in another business. Now, I want compensation for malfunctioning of components /changed components or replacement of machine, mental harassment and Insurance policy valid for one year from that date of issue. In addition, the company may take strict action against the shopkeeper. Otherwise, I will lodge a case with the consumer forum.
