Hafele India Pvt Ltd — Noise issue with my new Aella 90 chimney

Hi,

I purchased a new hob and chimney from a showroom dealing with Hafele products. Attached is the receipt. I went with Aella 90 chimney just for the reason that it has a BLDC motor and noise would supposedly be less as per the dealer. After installing the chimney, I figured out that the noise is not on lower levels as promised by the product and it's in fact a lot more noise than normal. When I checked with the technician during installation, I was told the issue is with the exhaust pipe installed for the chimney. The pipe installed is a 6" pipe from the chimney and further extended by 5.5" pipe. Our builder has done a core cutting of 5.5" and hence the pipe used was of less dia to go with that dimension. I was told by the technician that it's recommended to use a 7" exhaust pipe for Aella 90 and since the pipe installed at my place is 5.5"-6", the noise levels are expected. I had Hafele technician visit my place to recommend the carpentry changes needed to accommodate the chimney up front. I had expressed my wish at that time to buy Aella 90 and carpentry changes were suggested based on Aella 90 dimensions and requirements. The core cutting done in my kitchen was also visible. I want to check with Hafele, whose responsibility it was to suggest to me what model to buy, for the core cutting dimension available at my place? Now I am disappointed with the result after spending a fortune on a premium product like Aella 90 due to mistake from either the dealer side for not checking my core cutting and kitchen layout before selling the product or Hafele technician for not suggesting the correct product that would fit my core cutting and kitchen layout. Increasing the core cutting or changing my kitchen layout is not an option here. I need Hafele to suggest an acceptable solution in this case as I feel the mistake is not from my end as I was not supposed to know these technical details when making a purchase decision unless educated by the dealer or technician. Had I known these pipe dimension requirements before purchase, I would have gone with the model that would fit my kitchen layout.

Thanks,
Guru
