[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Incorrect credit card charges "Late Payment Fee" | |||
I made payment of Rs.4253/- on 04.10.2014 (1 day before due date of 05.10.2014) by click-to-pay option in ICICI Bank website, against my total amount due of Rs. 4252.68, transaction ref was AHDF[protected] and the transaction was successful. My bank account of HDFC Bank was also debited instantly on 04.10.2014 itself. Due to ICICI bank’s inefficient system, the payment was updated to my account on08.10.2014. Most unethically the bank charged me Rs. 500/- as late payment fee in the next statement dated 16.10.2014 plus service tax 61.80 totalling Rs.561.80. Taking up with all relevant details viz., my HDFC Bnk statement showing debit of Rs. 4253/- on 04.10.14, copy of message from ICICI Bank’s portal dated 04.10.14 showing the transaction no. and the transaction as ‘successful’ etc.with ICICI Bank’s customercare repeatedly, they refrained to reverse the charges. Rather vide their email reply they asked me the pay the full erroneous amount, with a threat to impose further financial charges in case I do not pay the same.
