Kent RO — High Maintenance cost

The Annual maintenance cost is so high, with service maintenance contract it comes to about 50% of the cost of the R.O. every year. The Candles are priced so high that it has become prohibitive now. The Candles are not available in the open market. The manufactures are taking consumer for a ride by not advising in advance the maintenance cost per year.

Do not regret this is what all what you are doing mean befooling public in the name of service
I bought Kent grand plus RO about 2 yrs back . Annual maintenance costs me about 5000 rs, electronic parts not included. I regret buying such a high maintenance product . Isn't buying bisleri a better option ?

I am also very disappointed that KENT is charge exorbidant amount for maintenance. Close Rs. 5000. This is very atrocious. I would NOT recommend anyone to buy this. The product is good but the second year maintenance cost is too high

I also observed my maintenance cost of KENT RO to be Rs[protected] per year. Also, post sales service is bad.

This is too much maintenance cost too high
Last year it's self i did amc @4500/-but now they say @5500/- bcoz of Gst then what about input/output they are getting ### please don't go for kent company.😠💩

Me being very concerned about the the quality of water and water used for various purposes including cooking. I bought Kent ro grand plus. It costs me 15k. Now it's been just an year and maintainace cost for the product is 4200.IF we calculate, they're getting almost 40% of the product price almost every year. Which is too costly. I believed in invention and bussiness. But robbing somebody's pocket money ( I'm a student ) is not a cool idea. And trust me sir. We are thankful for your product but the price has forced many o[censored]s to change the brand we use. If you could cut down the maintenance cost to affordable. You can get more customers as well as social respect.

They are charging Rs 5050 for filter change plus Rs 2000 for annual contract of electrical components. That means we have to pay half of the price of filter every year. They are not informing us about this at the time of purchase. Now I regret my decision of buying Kent Grand Plus.

As mentioned by so many dissatisfied customer, it is pain to pay half of the product cost every year. I request Kent to provide the Filters cost & maintenance cost while purchasing the product.
Waste of money, instead we can go for bottled water which is most affordable.

The product is good but the maintenance cost is too high, nearly 5000 to 6000 peryear. I would never have bought it, if I knew this. Always the electronic parts keep on failing. I mean it's just looting the customer. I would go for besleri water, Secure and cheaper than this.i will recommend all my family and friends not to buy Kent products.

Completely agree. It is a very poor product. I had to call service four times in the first year. The service people were very rude. The app doesnt work and the maitenance cost is very high. I didnt do my research before buyting this stupid product. is there no protection for customers these days?

The service cost of Kent Ro is exhorbitantly for filter change costing almost 40% of product price. Though had good experience with product so far, yet would have preferred another purifier product if knew about unfair service costs. The service cost of 5000 just for filter change is unacceptable and would like to have fair deal for the same .
I am also facing the same problem. The cost of spare parts are too high. In every 2/3 months you have to contact the customer care for repair. Each visit they will charge. Better to buy other alternative. I am dissatisfied with this product. The money that i have spent against maintenance, i could have purchased a new one.
I purchased kent grand pluse in 2012. Till now for maintenance i have spent rs. 20000. This product is disgusting. The spare parts are not available in open market. This is their business policy. I recommend everybody to go for other brands. In an interval of 2 months it requires maintenance. So my dear friends do avoid Kent Ro purifiers.
Same issue every year 5000rs for filter change . And now i even doubt is the problem genuine or just to loot . Sorry .but i hve to think this way .They hve kept a system of alarm and we fear and call them . But we dont know whether the filter change of all filters is required or no Plus i wasnt even able to see whether the filters they got genuinely cost this much or not .
Exactly after 1 year and 2 month, my Kent Ace RO stopped working. As a process I call up the Call center and they promised that engineers will visit within 24 hrs. They failed on this front.
Next day engineer visit my house and give me estimated of 5500. I am shocked that an equipment which I bought for 15 K and now service is costing me 5.5 K . And this seems that it will be a regular expense every month. I am completely disappointed and regret my decision to go with the brand name. But at the end of the day as a consumer I am feeling helpless.

Our Kent RO stopped working. It is 1.5yrs old
Service engineer gave quotation of 5000. I am shocked that an equipment which I bought for 15 K and now service is costing me 5 K . And this seems that it will be a regular expense every year. 14 months into the 16, 000 Kent RO+UV purifier I am told I need to pay 4, 000 annually for filter replacement, I would ADVICE EVERYONE NEVER TO BUY KENT water purifier. This cost is in addition to the AMC they charge, I agree with every complaint raised and extremely disappointed with a templatized and careless response from Kent.

Hi Team,

I purchased Kent RO Grand Plus a year back. Three days back, water stopped coming from the purifier and instead a long beep sound is coming. I raised the service request with case Id :[protected]. As per the request, it should get rectified in 48 hours. But as I didn’t see any progress, I kept calling customer care without any progress. Finally today service Engineer has come and he quoted 3750 (parts cost) + 300 Service Charges. He mentioned that yearly we have to repeat this otherwise the machine won’t work. Seems there are 4 parts and unless all the 4 parts are changed, the system alerting system won’t reset and water won’t come. Then I checked these complaints and I see many people having same complaint with templated responses from Kent. I also noticed that when one person pointed about this templated response, they stopped responding as well. I am customer for Kent from almost 6-7 years. If I have to spend same amount next year, I QUIT KENT and look for better alternative. No point spending 5k for purifier per year

I am not sure what you mean by "your service concern is resolved & the product is working fine". Product not working fine is not the original concern. But for it to keep working, I have to spend 4000 Rs every year and that is very high maintenance cost. That is the original concern. This is not a technical problem.

Your Customer Care people called me couple of times and said 4000 is very less for year and it could be even higher and might need to pay even higher for keeping ourselves healthy, which is not resolving the original concern. I asked your team to post the same response here in this forum so that every one understands this cost if they purchase the Kent RO Grand Plus Product. Why dont your team do post that response here?

From my side I consider that the concern is resolved if I dont have to pay such high costs every year for the machine to work. Until then for me the concern is not resolved. I hope you understand this.

Customer Care executive contacted me today and he mentioned the following points:
1. It is required to bare the maintenance cost of 4000 Rs per annum, which we are paying for good drinking water to keep safe of our health. Seems some customers call them to change these filters even every 6 months indeed.
2. UV+RO water purifiers are for Municipality water and not for Borewell water. Municipality water will have high TDS and hence UV+RO water purifier is needed for them.

Regarding 2nd point, when I said I heard it otherwise and TDS for Borewell water will be generally higher than Municipality water and that they prefer RO+UV for Borewell water, he said that I am confused and he is very confident that UV+RO is for Municipality water and Borewell water does not need it.
