[Resolved]  LG Electronics — LG Microwave Convection/ (model no. 7880PSR, S/N. 209AMVD022807/ defected product to be replaced

I had purchased LG microwave oven 28 ltr. Convection(model no. 7880PSR, S/N. 209AMVD022807) costing Rs. 14, 100/- on Dec 16 2013 from Varuna Electronics, vivekanand Marg. The oven door melted after one month and the complaint was lodged with the LG customer Care. The complaint number generated was RNA[protected] on 18.02.2014. It took full two months to resolve the issue as the parts required for changing the door took a long time to come at the service center. Once the door replaced, I assumed the oven will work properly, but again the door started contracting and it became loose which hampered cooking anything on it. The complaint RNA[protected] was lodged on 01.04.2014. It had to be taken to service center where the technicians could not fix the door properly, they could not figure out the problem and the door is always loose. Few months elapsed and again the oven started sparking and plate was broken while cooking and on 29.09.2014 complaint no. RNA[protected] was generated. That complaint has yet not been resolved from the company’s end, the service technician misbehaved and refused to replace the door. The microwave door is still loose and is on verge of melting, there are gaps between the door and which hampers proper cooking. Again the complaint no. RNA[protected] on 15.12.2014. LG is a reputed company but it is not living up to its name. The service center and the company dealer donot behave properly with the customer and refuse to extend any kind of after sale service. I am experiencing many difficulties with the oven and the service center is not ready to replace it. It is not working properly and out of eleven months the product spent three months at the service centre only and it has been lying useless from past two months. I have complained to Area Sales Manager and the Service Center Manager also but without any success and they are not ready to accept that there is some manufacturing defect in the product. Once the warranty period is over, the service will be chargeable and for no reason I will be stuck with the defected microwave. My request for replacement fell on deaf ears, hence I sent the written notice to the service center, Varuna Electronics (dealer) and the LG head office in Noida on 11/10/2014.Till date, I have received no response from any of them. Please replace the defected microwave with the new one so that I get full value for my money. Having paid full money, the customer does not deserve to use the defected product.Please intervene and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
