This is possibly my first and last transaction with majorbrands.in. It is very unfortunate that a website like majorbrands.in which claim to sell products of so many leading international brands do not pay the slightest heed to customer satisfaction. This is possibly the worst website in terms of responding to customer complaints and updating about order status. I had placed an order for a mango bag from the website on 26th April, 2015. Few days after the order was placed, I receive a mail from the website apologizing for the delay in delivering the product. (That was the last correspondence on the order from the website) Fifteen days later I tried following up with the customer support to know about the status of the order. Firstly, they never respond to the calls and finally when they did, they assured me that they will get back with the status of the order in a days time. As expected, they never got back to me. Since then I have been regularly calling them hoping that they will provide some information on the progress of my order. Each time I called, I got to hear a new update on the status of my order. Finally I called them today since a month had elapsed from the date I placed the order. It was only then that I learnt that my order was actually cancelled since the product that they had received was damaged. Until I called the customer care executive, I had no information about the order being cancelled. I am assuming that they would have never informed me about it even otherwise. The executive informed me that my refund will be initiated in a few business days. After what I have gone through so far, I have given up the hope of receiving the refund. I don’t understand how it takes a month’s time to deliver a product or for that matter provide the customer with correct updates. This is sheer harassment and unexpected of a shopping website. The purpose of shopping online is to come across a hassle free experience and certainly not what this website offers. In an industry like e-commerce, there are various platforms offering much better services to consumers and where customer satisfaction is given utmost priority. For customers looking for swift response, this is not a place to shop. Not very surprisingly, I came across similar complaints against this website from many customers. I wish I read the complaints beforehand. I would suggest the prospective customers to prevent buying products on this website for what they will experience is only disappointment.
