Mumbai Airport — No breakfast available at the 45th gate

I had a morning flight. Knowing that people rush in the morning and are in need of breakfast, basic breakfast items should be kept available .. especially if there is only one food counter on the entire floor.
8am in the morning, I stood in the queue only to find out at the end that the items displayed on menu, were not available. There is usually a board stating 'out of stock to save time, but that wasn't in place either.
Next I found out due to norms, the flight dies not keep food either. No snacks, nothing. This was a horrible experience.
