I am Yamini Gunasekaran residing in 32, venus colony, second street, velachery, chennai -42.
My family settled in this locality 3 years back. Our street have a drainage system that will always overflow, making good place for mosquitoes, flies to multiply, causing so many infections and diseases to spread among the residents. We have complained so many times, but nothing happened positive yet.

We have a sewage water over flowing and blocked like a pond in abanded house which make us unable to live. We have made complaints 4 Jun 2010 and 19 Jun 2010 through 1913 but no action taken or unable to provide us any compliant no.

Even we tried to submitt a online compliant through the below site but site turned to be error. Now we are in dead end whether to live or drink the sewage water.

I have raised a complaints with chennai corporation with the reference numbers:885GDP,997GOR to fix the stray cattle issue in our area/ on our street especially. But without any action they keep closing the tickets. I have reopened the same case multiple time still they are continuing the same.

Please help me to escalate this issue to the higher level to get things happen.

I have paid 3 times via IndiaIdea.com from my ICICI net banking for property tax to the chennai corporation. The details are below:

There is waterlogging on the ECR in front of waterford apartments even if there is a small shower.The side lane was a conduit to carry rain water to the low lying drainage in the south avenue towadrs the western side.The occupants of the lane and a cuddapah stone seller or factory unit occuping the platform and the mouth of the lane prevent the free flow of rain water to the low lying storm water d1rains.Despite repeated complaints the engineer...

I suggest that periodical flushing out manholes in night time with a jet of water will remove blocks if any.This method,I wonder whether corporation of chennai is aware or not.Probably they are mentally dead and physically alive...

People are allowed to construct their houses / shops very easily without any approval by any departments. REquest chennai corporation to take immediate action in this regard. I am the Resident of the No 32 10th Street, Kamaraj Nagar , Avadi, Chennai-60007, I would like to bring to your notice that in my Street their frequently block in drainages canal in either side of the road, moreover the construction of the canal was not built up to the norms of Chennai corporation. In Devakiammal Street (Vetrinagar, Peravallur, Chennai 82), one person building Temple in the Road. Near that house there is a school. During the school time also in the normal day there is a possibility of heavy traffic jam. Any authorized person of Chennai corporation please take immediate action. During the month of August 2008, maduravoyil municipal have broken the lane in our street namely 44, 1st main road.Krishna Nagar, Alapakkam, Chennai for building a new drainage line, but till date it was kept open with out attending, it was almost 10 ft deep civil work, it was fully filled with rain water and we are using only wooden board to cross that pit.
