I had booked a room via oyo rooms. I was required to prepay the booking amount. My booking id with oyo is CPVL4901.
After reaching the hotel (Hotel Krishna at Athwa in Surat) booked via oyo, I was shocked to have been informed that the Hotel had no tie-up with oyo rooms.
Therefore, standing at the reception counter, I contacted oyo (at [protected]) to get my problem resolved. However, I was made to 'hold the line' for more than 30-35 minutes by the oyo customer-care. So I had to cut the ongoing call, and again call them up. Every time, I was required to hold the line for a long time, after which I gave up.
Further, the hotel seemed to have only a receptionist standing at the counter, and no other staff. The hotel also did not have any restaurant/other amenities as promised on the website. Instead, there was a small dirty reception-counter and a dark passage where about 3-4 rooms had their opening. The hotel did not even seem secure enough to leave your luggage with them.
Finally, I cancelled the booking via the oyo app; and pursued the cause by writing number of emails and making dozens of calls. I was ultimately promised a refund by one Mr. Rajan Mishra (oyo guest support), which I have still not received. It has been more than 10 days since oyo rooms promised a refund.
