[Resolved] RAILWAY TDR — IRCTC - Regarding TDR filed against PNR [protected] | |||
Hello, This is in reference to PNR No: [protected] (JHS to NZM) on which TDR was filed. My wife was travelling along with my two kids however she forgot to carry ID proof as a result she was considered travelling without ticket and was charged excess fare along with penalty. She was advised to file TDR against this PNR [protected] after filing the TDR, IRCTC replied me back on 1 May 2014 stating that With Reference to your PNR No:[protected], we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DNR050414V02010 and the reason being : 'Failed to collect TDR/TTE Certificate/GC'. I replied on this email stating the facts and attaching the scanned copy of excess fare ticket and penalty charged however I got the reply on 05-May-2014 that please send the *_Original TTE Certificate/GC/EFT issued against_* PNR No.[protected]. In absence of the Original Certificate, refund cannot be processed. Please send the Original Certificate at the following address by speed post/courier:- I don't have either *_Original TTE Certificate/GC issued against_* PNR No.[protected]. I only have receipt of Excess fare ticket which was provided by TTE. Who is responsible to provide these certificates? Why a traveller should produce these certificates in original to railway department? So far I have not produced any certificates for TDR filing and I have not seen any rules procedure like this as mandatory to produce certificates. If submission of certificates is the procedure TTE should have provided any such certificate, he only gave original Excess fare receipt as an evidence. There is no contact no. of TDR department where someone can talk and resolve their queries, they only interact with emails. They are insisting invalid procedures on passengers for making false profit. I request higher officials to look into this issue and approve the tdr which is filed against this pnr and do the possible refund of amount Rs. 1310/-. How can one obtain the TTE certificate post travel? The TT told me that since it's an e-ticket, the money will be refunded automatically and now I am being asked to produce a TTE Certificate/GC/EFT. Is there a way to obtain it now?
Not even understanding whom to escalate this issue..
