Samsung — M31 Corning Gorilla Glass broke

Samsung M31 has been fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass to increase its durability and goes through drop test, hammer test, but it fell from my pocket and broke.

How is this possible? Or isit that customers should not trust samsung and get a gorrila glass cover over the phone glass. In that case company should not work upon durability and can provide cheaper phones.

I purchased the phone in May and glass broke in sep upon its first fall. I see multiple complaints in this regard.

Please suggest way forward.
