I have bought a Samsung M31S( Serial no: RZ8N82QQMSX ) mobile from amazon and I received the product on 09-Sept-2020. Within one month the phone charging stopped working, and I have registered a complaint(Reference [protected]) with Samsung customer care. And after a couple of other calls, they have forwarded me to the Samsung service centre in Kochi(Address Attaikulath Apartment, Cheruparambath road, Kadavantara Junction, Kochi). I have visited the service centre twice, and finally they have inspected the phone, and what they are saying is "The phone pin got some type of coating over it, that's why the charger doesn't work". I asked them how it works with other chargers(charger of M31), their answer was 'that they don't know'. I asked them to clean it, if that is the case, and the response was "We cannot do it under warranty" and we will replace it for Rs. 1500. We asked them to give a proper reason for denying warranty rather than this 'coating' story.
This is a brand new phone, and it has1 year warranty and the charger has 6 months warranty. The phone has insurance, so can repair under it, even if you deny warranty. But that is not the justice. The service centre has not created any case sheets during my visit. I complained to Samsung customer care and they were asking me 'why the service centre did not create any case sheet', as if it is my responsibility to correct the irregularities of the service centre. The customer care representative connected the manager of the service centre, and asked the same questions and that guy has no idea on this.
I wasted 2 days of my leave from office for visiting this Samsung service centre. Complaints within one month, and even the samsung service centre can't explain what that complaint is. I request samsung to give a replacement for this defective product.
