I recently made a service request to get my Samsung refrigerator checked.
The man came and did some checking with his equipment and multimeter. His diagnosis was that the compressor is broken. He said that I could spend Rs. 10000 to get a new compressor but with only a 3 month warranty. Or I could simply get rid of the refrigerator and buy a new one. I was charged Rs. 400 for just the technicians visit.
I somehow could not believe that the fault was in the compressor. I went to a local AC and fridge repair person to get a second opinion.
Sure enough after he checked the fridge he said that the capacitor was bad and fixed the refrigerator for Rs.800
I feel very badly let down by Samsung and their after sales service team. I paid a premium to buy a Samsung fridge thinking that I would get good quality and after sales support. Sadly I was wrong. Needless to say, I will be posting about this on social media as people need to know how shoddy Samsung's after sales service has become in Kolkata. Was this information helpful? |
