Samsung — Worst service after 1 year

I am having Samsung Grand Qattro which I purchased 1.5 years back. My phone become dead one day. When I went Samsung service centre (Velachery, Chennai), they told me to replace my phone's Motherboard which costs Rs.6500/-. I said no to the service centre and went totoodoo. He checked the phone and did S/W update and it is working now. What is the problem with Samsung service centre. I paid Rs.1500/ for S/W update only due to Samsung service centre. I am sorry Samsung but assure you that I'll never go for any Samsung product. Thanks
