[Resolved]  Sony Vaio — Very loud fan sound in 5-month old laptop + Service delay

My Sony Vaio laptop was making very loud sound and I booked a complaint on March 20th, with the Vaio customer care (Complaint No.[protected]. I was told that the engineer would visit within 48 hours but the engineer came only on 24th after followup with the customer care. The 'Engineer' who was supposed to try to rectify the problem at my location, did not even try to open the laptop and said that he will take it and update me from the service centre. After 24hrs when I did not get any update, I called up and was told that the fan needs to be replaced and they will place an order. Today, even after 7 days, with my business negatively effected, I am told that the laptop fan may come only by Monday (31st) and they will update me on Tuesday. A laptop fan being such a basic spare part, and my laptop just 1 year old in the market, I fail to understand why the company needs 11 days (anticipated) to replace a fan. Who is responsible for the loss of business. Is it that the service centre can keep my laptop for as many days as they want and the customer has no say to it. I am yet to receive my laptop and with the casual manner the service centre is handling this, I am not sure how many more days it will take. Laptop Model No. SVP1321WSNB Serial No. 0000723
