Tastykhana.in — Negligent and non- responding service

We ordered some food items through TastyKhana.in, which provides online service for ordering food for home delivery. We placed an order on 24th Aug, 2014 at around 21:00 Hrs. We made an online payment for the order. When we received the confirmation e-mail, we realized that the phone number provided by our side was wrong. We tried to reach the customer care to resolve the problem but no one picked up the call though we made the call for several times despite of high call rates. To cross check if our order has been placed or not, we called the respective restaurant for which we placed the order. But they clearly told us that TastyKhana had not initiated our order as we provided them the order details. After realizing that our order has not been placed in the restaurant, we immediately requested for refund on the website of TastyKhana for the paid amount. We got a refund confirmation e-mail ensuring our refund in 5-8 working days. After a very long time on 12th Sep, 2014, we received an email stating "Unfortunately, your request for Refund from Punjabi Tadka- Hsr layout ( sector 1 ) of Rs. 291 are not accepted!". However we had already cross checked that the above restaurant has not received any order from TastyKhana. We then called the customer care center of TastyKhana, where they responded after several attempts. We got a very negligent response from their side. After long discussion he assured us that the particular amount will be refunded within 7-10 business days. Till now we have not received any money. And again no one is responding our call at TastyKhana. Order details: Order no.- NATHQNDJGD Payment amount- 247.35INR Refund amount: 291 INR (as they mentioned) PaymentID: 8032842 1. We could not have dinner on the particular day. 2. It was so frustrating and psychological torture that we had to call the customer care again and again and no one was picking up the call. 3. We wasted lot of money in making the phone calls as the IVRS was responding on their number and high call rates were applied. 4. Contrary to their claims of very convenient service, they made it a mess for us. 5.The money was deducted from my Student's Account and I had no money when I was in need of those 2.5 hundred rupees. 6. Again I am wasting my time, focus and energy in filing this complaint as they are not responding yet again. 1. Full refund for the payment made against the particular order of mine. 2. Money deducted in making phone calls. Around 150 phone calls have been made from our side. That costs around 225 INR. 3. For our intangible losses that includes the wastage of our time, focus, patience and energy, psychological torture I demand TastyKhana.in to give a compensation of 10, 000 INR.

Very bad service, careless !
Restaurant didn't pick up the call after placing the order, and customer care numbers were only for calls before 11 pm. Got a confirmation call from the customer care for refund, but no follow up.
