[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — They admit they cannot do anything about reduced speed

My tata photon max was working fine till last month. Then the speed got very very low. Right now I am not even getting 0.1 or 0.2 MBPS in real time. I called them and they said they will look into this matter. A day after I received a call from them stating that since the area I am living in is now a highly utilized area they cannot do anything and I have to live with this reduced speed ( But will have to pay full amount anyways ) They told me clearly that nothing at all could be done at all by anyone. My question is : When they sold the device they promised speed upto 3.1 MPBS and I promised to them that I will pay 1000Rs per month. Now speed is reduced to near zero and their own team says nothing can be done about it. So why they keep charging full amount? Why don't they reduce the bill amount as well? After that I called them as a prospective new customer and told them my address and asked if I purchase a new tata photon max wi-fi how it will perform. This time they said everything is fine and there is no problem with the area I am living. So its clear unethical business. They will sell new connections in same area but will not provide speed to existing customer. Totally unethical. I mean why the hell they are selling the device in highly utilized areas at all if they know they cannot

Ok.. they called me today again based on my above mentioned complained. The person who called me asked how much speed I am getting. I told that when I do speed test it comes approx 0.3 Mbps and that too is not constant, it keeps on disconnecting. To my utter shock he said "You are getting 300 Kbps which is considered a very good speed and this should not be a problem at all".

I told him that we do not get 300 Kbps in real time even when test shows 3 Mbps and real time speed is very low, when I download anything the speed is around 10KPBS. In fact in 0.3 Mbps we are not even able to open pages and connect skype mostly. Then to my 2nd shock he said "Sir we only rely on test speeds and not on what you are actually getting, test speed of 0.3 is good."

After this I received an SMS from them which says : Hi, As per the discussion had with our photon expert a new site is expected in your location in xxxx months

There is no point talking to them as their customer care people does not know anything technical.

My suggestion to everyone : Do not purchase photon even if their engineer shows excellent speeds to you. Once user base increase in your area you will be in dial up era again and it can happen anytime.

I also have the same issues I bought this device two years back. Everything was going good until last month all of a sudden my speed drops to less than 256kbps... Last 2 years I used to get a speed of minimum 2 mbps. Now I have no idea what happened even I tried to call the customer care but no response from them everytime I call them and give this complaint they always says some issues in my area. If there is a problem in my area how could my neighbour uses the same device without any problem. If I highlight this point to the customer care they don't have any answer. Tata DoCoMo customer service sucks big time... I have no idea who would rectify my issues.

Same thing happened to me..even mine is worse than u...I was using Vodafone 3g this guys called 100times to make me use this photon...bought and using it without any problem till last month...but now I am so pisd off..
