[Resolved]  Telebrands (India) Pvt. Ltd. — Purchase of 5 in 1 Sofa bed

I, Manju Sharma purchased 5 in 1 sofa bed on 15/09/2011 (cost Rs 5794) after watching its advertisement on TV with the assurance that it has a lifelong warranty. The piece I got was defective and there was a leakage of air from the walves. We tried to contact the customer care number of TELEBrands(India)Pvt.Ltd, but I could never get through. Then we contacted the number on which we had placed the order. The executive told us that we can get it exchanged but for that we will have to pay the shipping charges which are Rs 900. It had nowhere mentioned that in case we will need to utilise the benefit of lifelong warrant on the product, we will have to pay the shipping charges. Also, even when we would pay the shipping charges, there was no gaurantee that the second product will not be defective. We even offered to send the defective piece and collect the new piece manually from the registered office but they didnt agree. We have also written to the company three times but have received no response. This has cost us immense mental and financial stress. We want a refund on this product.
