Tikona — Harassing for payment o[censored]nused services | |||||
I have been a user of Tikona from November 2014 to April 2015. In the beginning, the services were delivered as promised. But after two months, the net speed started to deteriorate. Despite complaints over and over again, they took no serious action to correct the problems I faced. Since I was in a locality which didn't offer me choice for net services, I unwillingly stuck to Tikona's services. After April I was forced to move on to other operators, hence I wrote a letter to Tikona in May asking them to discontinue my services and also asked for the full and final amount to be communicated to me. Shortly after, Tikona responded saying that they will take some time(72 hours) to discontinue. But despite that they continued billing me every month. When I issued my discontinuation letter, I had already stopped using the broadband completely. Despite that I decided to pay the bill for month of May(I paid for no services rendered). After that, they kept calling asking me to retain the connection for better offers, which I refused multiple times. After a few months of calls for payment of bills for which no service was rendered to us, they took on a more aggressive role today. A certain lawyer from Delhi civil court spoke on behalf of Tikona informing me that the company intends to take legal action against me for non-payment of certain bills. After digging up reports against Tikona, I have discovered that this is the modus operandi of Tikona to harass their customers and force them to retain their connections for nothing.
