Tikona — Receiving bills post disconnection | |||||
I had been using Tikona for over a year till September 2014 and I wanted to switch to another provider as I was not happy with their services. I called up customer care and asked for disconnection and to collect the device from my place. The customer care person asked me to keep the connection on safe custody for 3 months which she said was free of cost and that they would collect the device from my place if i dont like their services after that to which I agreed. After 3 months I got a message that my account has been activated. Then I called up CC again and asked for disconnection and as to why it was activated again. They said they will not disconnect and the device would be at home and I can use it on adhoc basis if required and that I WILL NOT get bills if I dont use it. I have not used the connection since september 2015. I got a bill by december 2015 with monthly charges and charges for safe custody where the bill itself says that my usage is 0MB. I called up customer care after that and they failed to respond. Since then I had been getting bills every month with late payment charges added. Today I got a call from someone saying that Tikona has given legal complaint on me for not paying the bills. Also I never got any call from CC asking me to settle their bill. Usually when a customer fails to settle a bill they will be contacted by the company. I have all the bills that state my usage is 0 and they didn complete my disconnection request and so the mistake is purely on Tikona and I dont with to pay any penny for I have not used their connection. This same thing happen with me also.
once i also received a call from delhi lawyer regarding non payment of bill actual it was completely disconnected.
that lawyer give me just half an hour time otherwise they will file case in delhi high court. since i don't want to go with hassle and with respect to delhi lawyer i have paid my outstanding. legal document of Rs.2000/- + o/s amount. while i contact to customer care they assure me that the legal charges will be returned and waiver will be given if service not in use. but i received only legal charges.
And the same thing will going to happen with me again.
I would like to suggest you to visit tikona office in your local area otherwise you will be in trouble friend.
