Toshiba India — Unable to provide a resolution to the defective panel in TV set even after months of submitting the complaint

I have purchased a Toshiba 55 inch LED Smart TV on October 2021. In September-mid this year, when the product was still under warranty, I have raised a complaint regarding the screen panel showing uneven black spots on a white screen and uneven pixel lighting bands when viewed against a dark/black background.

After a couple of technician visits and a month of repeated follow-ups, Toshiba finally replaced the original unit with a replacement unit on October 22nd, 2022. This time, even the replacement unit was found to be suffering with a similar issue but on different areas of the screen. I brought this to the attention of the visiting technician at the time of installation and he asked me to raise another complaint regarding the same. After a couple of technician visits to my place, I was assured that the replacement unit will be taken back within the next 4-5 working days and that I will be getting another new unit.

Over the course of next few days, and repeated follow ups, I was constantly assured by the Toshiba customer care that the request was still in progress, approval had been obtained and that I can expect a few days delay in delivery (those 4-5 days of assurance never really came as during every other follow up call, Toshiba customer care kept on repeating the same statement time and again).

During this time, even the warranty got lapsed owing to Toshiba's never-ending delays and something which was of concern to me. However, repeatedly Toshiba customer care kept on assuring me not to worry as the delay was from Toshiba's end.

Now, even after 20-30 odd calls with the Toshiba customer care, repeated escalations to the higher authorities at Toshiba and a delay spanning 2.5 months, the issue still stands unresolved. Additionally, now Toshiba customer care has also started citing the Out-of-Warranty coverage of my television set (to which I have to start narrating the whole story right from the very beginning).

Till this day, the issue stands unresolved and seeing no other alternative to escalate the matter, this is possibly the only alternative left for me to raise a complaint against Toshiba's pathetic customer service as well as churning out faulty/defective television panels to the customers with poor-grade manufacturing. With the end-result that customers will ultimately give up all hope after spending countless hours and sacrificing mental peace, time and money on not only their low-level products but also the pathetic and mentally harassing after-sales customer service.
