Yatra Representatives Lying to customers and cheating them to buy packages. I had inquired with yatra.com for a ladakh package. a day later i got a call from their representative Pradeep Singh with regards to package details. He offered me the package price and also offered complimentary hotel stay in Delhi as my package started from Delhi and i am located in Mumbai. i also told him to email the same to us. However the agent sent me package details and did not write anything about the complimentary stay. When asking form flight details over the phone he offered us rs 22000/- for 2 people return flight MUM- DEL - MUM and when told him to email it he sent us 24000/- again trying to cheat us. After booking the package from Delhi we had to make travel arrangements for Mum - Delhi when we call the agent for the complimentary hotel stay the agent says I HAVE NEVER EVER OFFERED YOU A COMPLIMENTARY STAY AT ALL. I had a recording of the same and sent the same to yatra. Still the yatra fellow backed their agent. And decided not to address the issue at all. I spoke to numerous people and sent almost 12 Emails to all the departments a Manager and spoke to 2 managers of which 1 Din not even get back to me. i wrote across to a higher authority as well 6 days back but no one cares to address the issue.. YATRA.COM Has horrible customer service. If you are buying any Holidays Please don't buy from Yatra.com they are a big team of cheats.

Dear Mr. Inder Joshi,

After my 10th complain written across to yatra I finally got a revert back from a manager Mr. Avik Chatterjee on 31-7-14.

I got a call from Mr. Avik Chatterjee. He claimed that he had heard all the conversations i had with Mr. Pradeep Singh, Miss Maninder Kaur, and all the other multiple calles that i have made to yatra, and the representatives I spoke to while trying to get my issue solved.


I am surprised with the answer Mr. Avik gave me and the resolution offered to me.

1) Mr Avik Stress on the fact that I was informed on the first day that flight rates are dynamic and are subject to change.

2) That a discount was offered to me on my package so I was not given a complimentary stay.

3) THAT EVEN THOUGH HE DOES NOT SEE ANY MISTAKE FROM YATRA’S END HE IS COMPENSATING ME WITH 2000 RS OF TRAVEL VOUCHERS.

I would like to bring some facts to light which I think were completely ignored while listening to the Call recordings.

1) 1st July 2014 - Pradeep Singh did offer me a complimentary stay in Delhi on the first call and later after I made the full payment denied to have said such a statement at all.

Avik heard the call where I have told the agent to send me both the options and Yatra did not send it to me in writing and also ignored the fact that yatra representative lied. HE DID NOT ADDRESS IT.

2) 1st July 2014 - Pradeep Singh offered me MUM- DEL return flight rate of 22000 on the phone and sent me an email of 24000 Rs for the same.

Avik heard the call however ignored the fact that yatra representative again lied to me or tried to fool me to pay a higher price. HE DID NOT ADDRESS IT NOR EVEN FELT THAT REPRESENTATIVE WAS WRONG.

3) 3rd July 2014 – I informed Pradeep that I would like to add 2 more people along with me so if he can offer me an alternative date. He readily agreed to do that without any hesitation. And offered me a date of 30th July 2014 for 4 people.

4) 3rd July 2014 – Mr pankaj calls me up asking for balance payment and tells me changing dates will be considered as cancelation. We had a discussion and later I Said pradeep has already agreed to it. So I will speak to him.

5) 4th July 2014 – Mr Pradeep calls me and says date change is not possible, giving me a reason the department has sent the names across.

Avik heard the calls however ignored the fact that yatra representative again lied to me. After telling me yes the date change is possible next day denies the same and says its not possible. AVIK DID NOT ADDRESS IT NOR EVEN FELT THAT REPRESENTATIVE WAS WRONG BY SAYING YES FIRST AND LATER SAYING NO.

6) 4th July 2014 - I MAKE THE BALANCE PAYMENT AND CALL PRADEEP ABOUT THE COMPLIMENTRY HOTEL STAY TO MAKE MY DELHI TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS . HE DENIES TO HAVE EVEN SAID SUCH A STATEMENT (Maine Aap ko complimentary stay kabhi offer hi nahi kiya)

7) 4th July 2014 - After Pradeep denied to offer me a complimentary stay in Delhi I have written an email to yatra ALONG WITH THE RECORDED CONVERSATION WHERE PRADEEP HAS OFFERED ME A COMPLIMENTRY STAY addressing it to [protected]@yatra.com, pradeep.[protected]@yatra.com, [protected]@yatra.com. Clearly stating that due to this I had to keep my travel arrangement to Delhi on hold and also requested to review the call recording I sent and revert quickly.

Avik heard the call where pradeep called me and had offered me a complimentary stay in delhi. He however ignored the fact that by saying No yatra representative’s are lying to its customers.

I also had informed yatra to look into the call recording and the matter ASAP as I had kept my Delhi flight arrangement on hold. HE DID NOT ADDRESS IT.

8) 5th July 2014 - Pradeep singh calls me up and argues with me that I have not confirmed any such thing at the time of booking. I replied the same saying nor did u confirm anything. So how will the offer become void. We have and argument and I ask for a manager. He says manager is busy and will call back in 10 minutes

9) 5th July 2014 – Miss Maninder Kaur calls me up after 2 hours after listening to a part of the conversation. After we have a conversation she tells me that she will personally listen to all the calls and get back to me on the same. I inform her to close the same asap.

10) 5th July 2014 – Pradeep singh calls me up asking that you had a word with my manager and hope the issue is closed. I said No. Miss Maninder is supposed to review all the calls and get back to me. We end the conversation.

5th July 2014 – Pradeep still sends me an email saying - I hope you have spoken with concern person and now you do not have any doubt regarding to your booking.

5th July 2014 - To which I replied – [protected]@yatra.com As the per my last conversation with your manager Miss Kaurna. She is going to review all our conversations and get back to me till then the doubts are not resolved.

5th July 2014 - Again sent an reminder email to - [protected]@yatra.com, pradeep.[protected]@yatra.com, [protected]@yatra.com saying My last conversation with Miss Kaur was incomplete and did not lead to a closure of the same. She told me she will go through the calls again and get back to me. Till then the issue is not closed.

11) 6th July 2014 – Miss Subhani called me to discuss the same and asked me to narrate everything. i informed her that i had spoken to Manindar kaur about the same. she said if you have already spoken to her its ok. she also said that she will remind her to get back to me. i again informed her that my travel arrangements are still pending and that this needs to be closed asap.

12) 7h July 2014 – The Flight rates go up – I write an email to –[protected]@yatra.com, pradeep.[protected]@yatra.com, [protected]@yatra.com

Even after me informing you all more than 5 times that my flight arrangements are pending. You all have still not reverted back on my problem.

Thanks to your slow and bad service now the flight rates have increased for Delhi and I will end up paying almost Rs. 5000 extra for my one way flight to Delhi. the flight rates have changed from 5055 to 7500.

You all should be ashamed of being such a big name and provide such horrible service to customers...

I would really think a 100 times before buying from Yatra again.. Nor would i recommend Yatra to anyone... I will definitely share my experience of your slow and bad service with other social sites...

13) 7th July 2014 – Pradeep singh calls me up and offers me a complimentary hotel in Delhi.

I said I want the stay alsong with 5000 Rs of damages.so duw to you slow revert the flight rates have gone up. I again ask to speak to a manager Maninder Kaur. Pardeep tells me she has left for the day and no other manager I free to talk to me.

Avik heard the call where pradeep called me and had offered me a complimentary stay in delhi. He however ignored the fact that had the issue been solved on time I would not have to pay a higher price for my tickets.

8th July 2014 – I write across 3 complains on the yatra website in the new complain section.

Below is the last complain.

This is my 3 rd complain on the yatra website today.

Even after repeated requests to speak to a Manager or Manindar Kaur The agents at yatra blindly deny to transfer me to a manager.

Even after calling 6 times i did not receive a call back from yatra. I had to call up again and spoke to Praveen bali again. He told me that Manaindar kaur has left for the day and no other managers are available to speak to.

I have been asking to speak to a manager for the past 2 days and am being denied every time saying they are busy and can not answer the call. even when asked for a call back i have not received any call from any manager from the past 2 days. i have sent 5 emails so far however no one cares about addressing the issue.

I have paid extra 4000 Rs because of Yatra and booked my flights to delhi. Due to your bad service i had to loose money from my pocket.

Nor Yatra Agents Nor managers are interested in to the customer's problem. And do not wish to offer an acceptable solution to customer.

I am very disappointed with the behavior of yatra agents...

I am definitely going to inform every one about my this experience with yatra...

14) 8TH July 2014 – In my last conversation I had spoken to Mr Praveen Bali. After a long discussion Simply denied offering me any solution. He did not even agree to give me a complimentary hotel stay which was agreed in the first place. I asked him to connect me to a manager he said (KOI MANAGER AVAILABLE NAHI HAI) I told him that I shall book these tickets from yatra website however am not happy with the solution offered to me.

Avik heard the call but decided to ignored it. That I have been calling up Yatra time and again to get the matter solved. However even after writing 6 complains calling up 6 times from my end none of the people thought it important to address the issue.

I did not receive any call from yatra after that till I again posted a complain on the 26th July 2014.

This is the kind of service Yatra has been giving its customers.

I would request you to kindly review the matter yourself and evaluate the issue yourself, and explain me what was my mistake why did I suffer a loss in this whole matter.

Please place your self in customers shoes before you come to any conclusion.

I booked Gujrat Holiday tour on 14 NOV 2014 and paid Rs.10000 vide receipt REC/14-15/R12690473 by netbanking.
My booking reference no.is YT13526057.
On calling to YATRA, they said that my booking is not confirm.
So I wrote for cancellation the booking and refund on 3 Dec2014.
But there is no response from Yatra up to the date.
