I have booked flight to Canada for my elder parents few hours back and while making booking it was showing transit at NewYork Airport for 1:35 hours and there was no information on the terminal till it was booked.
After sometime of booking the terminals are updated for the transit flights that are very far from each other and my old aged parents can't even walk by themself and it will be impossible for them to manage the required immigration and security checks just within this short span of 1:35 hours. Even they don't have USA transit visa, this was not known to us while booking that is another problem.
As per the information available over the United Airlines website we can request for cancellation to the third party platform from where we have made te booking to get the full refund but the Yatra customer support is not ready to accept any such request and just trying to push ball in other court. Airline partner is confirmed on such part and guided to get this cancelled from yatra but yatra management is not interested in resolving this, it seems they are just preserving their sales and comission over customer service. I have copied the management teams as well but no one is replying over mail and getting WhatsApp calls from unknown numbers for convincing to keep the booking and with false information for the airline terms.
They are just trying to keep this open ended for 24 hours and then reply that there is nothing they can do now. Was this information helpful? |
