[Resolved] Yatra.com — No refund for charging twice for same flight for same passenger. | |||||
I had purchased a return air ticket for a friend of mine on 18/1/2016 thro’ Yatra.com website with the following details: Passenger Name: Ms. Manik Madhav Aslekar (Female) Booking Ref: 180116F60357 PNR No: YUVRES Total price: Rs.10, 832/- Mumbai to Jodhpur on Mar 21, 2016 by Jet Flight No: 9W412 Return from Jodhpur to Mumbai on Mar 26, 2016 by Jet Flight 9W335 I rescheduled the return flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai from Mar 26, 2016 to Mar 28, 2016 thro’ Yatra.com web site on 24/1/2016. On payment page I noticed that extra Rs.1572/- had to be paid and the total amount was shown Rs.12, 102/- or so. Assuming that the extra Rs.1572/- would be deducted I clicked on payment. But Rs.11, 464/- was deducted from my credit card. New Ticket with following details were confirmed: Mumbai to Jodhpur on Mar 21, 2016 by same Jet Flight No: 9W412 Return from Jodhpur to Mumbai on Mar 28, 2016 by same Jet Flight 9W335 Passenger Name: Ms. Manik Madhav Aslekar (Female) Booking Ref: 180116F60357 (Same as before) PNR No: SCJGBS Total price charged: Rs.11, 464/- I took up the issue with Yatra.com over phone immediately but was told that the original return ticket being non –refundable. Total return fare has to be paid over & above the original return fare. When I have not cancelled the onward flight from Mumbai to Jodhpur on March 21, 2016 nor changed passenger details, how can I be charged twice for the same passenger by the same flight -9W 412? Please help me get refund for one onward journey fare from Mumbai to Jodhpur as stated above. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Dear Sir,
Technicalities apart, how can you charge twice for the same passenger for the same flight 9W412 for the same travel details.
I am sure human intervention can be done if your intention is to refund one ongoing flight amount.

For re-scheduling the return flight from 26th March to 28th March, I opened your website page. Both onward & return journey details were displayed. I changed the date of the return journey. I made no change and did not cancel the onward Journey date (21st March).
Therefore, if onward journey had been cancelled, it is faulty design of your web page.
Please refund one onward journey price which has not been cancelled.
