Yatra.com — No refund for the cancelled flight due to aircraft technical problem - etihad jet airways codeshare. Flight booked through yatra.com | |||||
I booked a flight on etihad operated by jetairways aircraft (Crack on the door). After immigration passengers were offloaded and flight was cancelled. Flight was booked through yatra.com portal and the airline told me to contact yatra who collected the money and get the refund. I have been contacting yatra since july 2015 and until 26th november, no refund issued. Went to etihad cochin office and the executive called yatra and told them its them to process refund since they sold the ticket. I request to refund the fare as i had to take gulf air ticket online at the airport itself as the travel was urgent. I got this reply more than 10 times from yatra.com. When i contact the airline they will say "we did not collect the cash, contact the agent"! The etihad representative told the same over the speakerphone to yatra "executive" and they simply said ok and hang up!
Consumers please make a note that if i had purchased the ticket direct from the airline, they have no excuse to shunt me from one office to another but to refund the money. I was such an to use the yatra.com. Since this incident i had traveled almost every month abroad and always buy ticket from airline website and no regret at all!
