Yatra.com — Several issues with package tour from Yatra

Hello, On 7th December I had booked a Yatra tour to Nepal (S1321431). Now that I have completed my journey I wanted to write and call out a set of complaints that I as part of my overall experience with Yatra. I also want to claim back an amount which I was unduly charged for. 1) Refund sought for Nepali Rs. 398 against the charge applied for Child breakfast at Club Himalaya in Nagarkot. Despite suggesting to the hotel authorities as well as the local tour operator (Yeti tours) I was asked to pay for the child breakfast on grounds that communication from Yatra is that I should be charged for child meals. 2) After I made the reservation and paid for the trip on 7th Dec I had few clarification questions for which I tried multiple times to reach Yatra through e-mail as well as through phone line. Neither did I receive a response to my mails nor was I able to easily get through to your phone helpline. When I did get through two times my request/questions were taken on board but I did not receive a response at all. You should be able to easily check the records of my requests for the time I was able to get through to your helpdesk. 3) I did not receive e-tickets or any other travel details till one day prior to travel when I called your emergency helpline seeking these details. Why is this the case? Shouldn’t we be getting all details of the travel well in advance? 4) Upon calling Yatra helpline I recd. an itinerary on 24 Dec which is not how the tour turned out to be. On arrival in Kathmandu we were told that our visit would start with Nagarkot, Chitwan and then Kathmandu which was the complete opposite of what Yatra's itinerary suggested. Why is there such a confusion? 5) I had to make several international calls to the local tour operator to ensure that I am not charged for child food at the other two hotels in Chitwan and Kathmandu. My local operator tells me that since Yatra did not respond to their query they have at their own behest worked with the hotels in Chitwan and Kathmandu and waived off the child meal cost. This is not acceptable despite having spent such a large sum of money with Yatra. 6) Isn’t there an easy way to escalate or raise an emergency complaint when travelling abroad? I found it extremely difficult to connect to your helpline (Option 2 for existing bookings) even when I was in India that I did not even try calling you from Nepal. Thanks, Suraj
