A Giggles Welfare Organisation — Ngo fraud call about child cancer patient

Address: New Delhi, Delhi, 400094
Website: www.agwo.org

I got a call from [protected] number and a lady claiming to be a student volunteer requested me to help a child cancer patient. Soon after, a man named "abinesh" took over the call and requested again to donate money for a child patient, name "gudiya", suffering from blood cancer. I didn't find anything suspicious until the guy over the phone told me about child patient vomiting blood profusely which, to my knowledge, is quite unusual in 1st stage of blood cancer. Anyway, i shall not judge and continued talking to him. Meanwhile, that guy convinced me to check the website "http://ngo.India.Gov.In" and check his organization registration id "74954 " to assure genuineness. Further, he asked me to click on the link "http://www.agwo.org" provided on "http://ngo.India.Gov.In" website. On their website "http://www.agwo.org", he quickly referred to page "support-a-life" and then to "child patient - gudiya". What bothered me was their immediate query about payment modes, i.E. Card payment or net-banking. Meanwhile, he spoke a great length about ...Poor family background of child patient... Urgent need of money... Total expenditure 2, 50, 000/- ... Some 1, 20, 000/- arranged...Big amount still remaining...Donate as much as possible and finally a god bless you dialogue. I assured him that i will donate the money but he insisted to do payment right away while him being online to assist and generate it exemption certificate. I didn't like idea of it exemption certificate, so i asked him to wait and then i disconnected the phone. I would have donated a fair amount of money had i not googled about this "giggle welfare organization" ngo which were flooded with online complaints on various platform, this being one of them. As soon as i finished reading online complaints, i got call back from same person, "abinesh" asking delay in the payment. How, could he know about delay in payment when i have not given him my personnel details, such as name, email id. I gave him a piece of my mind and disconnected the phone. On further online search, i got similar complaints where patient is some girl-child under age 3 claimed to be suffering from cancer, tumor, and heart disease and so on. On one particular search, i came across a child patient "harpreet" and then i remembered a call three month back when a lady requested to help child patient -harpreet. These fraudsters might be changing the patient details frequently. So we should also raise the alarm every time we witness such activity. Bye.

Even I am getting calls from this ngo asking to help for the boy who has suffered third degree burn. But some how I was not convinced by the their talking and got more suspicious when they started calling continuously for money, even though I asked them to call after some time and tons of sms started to flow. that when I searched about this ngo and ended up here.
I am also getting calls since yesterday evening regarding a burn child Khushi, they are insisting to check the website and check its validity, i was not convinced as they were putting a lot of pressure that its the last date, we need your help and so on.. I doubted when they directly said that pay through your debit card or credit card and the minimum amount is 1, 000, no NGO pressurises like this. So i googled it and found that this is fake.
Got the call for the child named Khusi. They also sent me a pdf with all the detailed information and pictures also. Pictures were horrible. Considering that I was about to pay. They guided me to check the validity in ngodarpan.gov.in and that NGO is listed there for Noida location. I was almost convinced but then found this website and these reviews. I also found negative reviews in quora(almost all except one). So, decided not to pay.
Got a call for child name Kushi. Please do not donate. Its fake

1. Doctor signature on documents is fake. No doctor with that name in that hospital.
2. No contact number of parents on any documents.
3. The patient is from Rajasthan and coming all the way to Noida hospital for treatment is very much suspicious.
4. They will force you to pay right away so that you don't have time to check for details.

THEY ARE FAKE AND LOOTING YOU HARD EARNED MONEY. PLEASE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ANY CALL FROM THEM.
I got the call today, number is different. [protected]. Same name, kushi, third degree. Emergency operation needed by 6. They provided me two websites: http://ngodarpan.gov.in & http://www.agwo.org. Found many articles on this being fraud online. When I conveyed it, that I am not convinced and I see frauds reported with those website the person started using words like - kind hearted, guilty feeling if girl dies etc. Me now kind of sure they are frauds
i too got a call n he started forcing me to pay right away and when i said i need time he started shouting at me and then i disconnected and blocked him so he called me from another number..
Just got call from this no. ‭+[protected]‬

I got a call from [protected] and [protected] saying named Kushi: Urgent help for Baby Khusi CR# B51630 unit no.4 - Treatment time: 5.30 PM.
I do not know how these people are finding the numbers. I had listened and saw all their site details. Not sure the case is correct/wrong. But they keep on sending some sensitive photographs of the child on Whats app.

I was about to transfer some fund but i checked reviews and now I am confused what to do!

Can anyone suggest is this NGO genuine or fake.

I usually get calls from such NGOs but couldn't quite believe them. Today I got a call by a no ([protected]) from a lady saying she was from NGO Darpan at around 11.30am. She spoke regarding a burnt child case whose name was Khushi. When I asked for the website address she asked me to type multiple addresses (was herself confused) first asked to type ngodarpan.gov.in, then said some www.agwo.org. Finally, she felt I am not getting convinced so she handed over the phone to a guy named Ankit. He spoke for about 15 mins constantly, emotionally blackmailed me and asked me go through the pictures of Khushi on their www.agwo.org site. I even interrupted saying I would inquire later as I was in my workplace and couldn't devote that much time. He suddenly raised his voice and started convincing me that they have to arrange some 32000 before 1pm, or else doctors would amputate her legs. At that point I lost patience because, I could see around 30% burns in the pictures published on their "fake site" that too the major burns were on her left hand. I didn't understand why there is a need for leg amputation. He made all possible efforts to make me pay while he was online, but I said I couldnt and I will have to first examine the genuineness of the NGO, so give me time I shall pay before 1.00pm. Not surprisingly he calls me again to confirm at 12.30pm, which I rejected.
I think some steps should be taken to stop this, because incidents like these makes me feel all NGOs are fraud and I dont feel like donating anywhere (NGOs).
I got a call from the giggle's NGO asking donations for a boy named Akash who is admitted in bellevellue hospital, billaspur. When I said I cannot trust this orgarnisation, she started shouting and saying lame things like god sees my end and so no. She said she'd whatsapp me the child's dead body if the operation fails so that I could repent on my sin.
I got a CALL TOday. Burn case for a baby boy named Aakash. First a call, then then a set of messages. First ones were from [protected]. Then once I asked them to send me the contact of the hospital, they sent the site details instead. This came from a different number [protected]. I told them initially that scammers like them make it difficult for GENUINE cases to get funding, to which he replied saying 'Don't give ### excuses'. I don't think that a GENUINE NGO, approaching for help will use such language, or spend so much time texting a single person for donation.
I too got a similar call today from the number [protected] about a baby named Aakash. The girl who was calling said that she is a volunteer in an NGO and they needed some fund to help the baby in hospital. She even sent me an sms with details, I am attaching a screenshot of it.

The call seemed very suspicious and I decided to check online and came across this discussion.

Although AGWO is a registered NGO however they are following cheap and unethical practices.

They call people randomly and as soon as someone is listening to them, they show a great sense o[censored]rgency as if the patient will pass off if you dint help them immediately.

They call you even in the night and ask you to make online transfer and ask you to send the transaction ID

Once I donated and within 30 days they approached me again saying that it was a case of birth and death of infant and only i could help and that he has approached after the hospital has closed the doors

Again within 30 days they called me again and this time I had to tell them that neither I was Kuber nor Ambani and I was just an ordinary person.

They kept me chasing again and again and irritated me to the core. One fine day I gave a mouthfull to one Anand who was troubling me from long time and thereafter no one has called me.

I also got call from Giggle Welfare.. Guys name was Karan Stud 2 (as per Truecaller) with Mobile no [protected]. He was telling me same story just name of child is Akash and child is suffering from 30% burn. On googling I saw lots of complaints. So I dropped the call blocked on true caller.
Don't donate anything to this welfare this was big fraud. for me they are demanding to donate and Quarreling with me in the call and i got call from this numbers [protected], [protected].
I just got a call from a number [protected] saying some case. Urgent help for a Baby's operation. Please take action against it.
I am also getting call from +91-[protected] from last 2 days...and she is trying to convince me for big donation.
When I told her that, i will do some research I will make my decision, she started asking about how much money you will donate, please tell, it is needed to make sure get remaining amount. Then I said I can not reveal the amount over phone to you, let me first find authenticity of this and then I will make transfer. Then she was like, behind me over messages, asking me about the transfer...

Then I did some research and found out that, they are making such calls and getting donations. I also felt suspicious about the rush behind the donation. I responded her that, there are lot of complaints about your organisation, and everyone is reporting it as fake.
Then Surprisingly, she was not interested in "fake" part, but kept asking me whether I made donation or not.

Doesn't look genuine request to me...
Fraud site. They start calling again and again. Try all stuff to make you fool. Be cautious
