Aakash Institute — Aakash institute Trivandrum cheating and just gulping our money

We as parents decided to put our child in Aakash for coaching after we were unable to get any proper private
coaching due to the pandemic situation. After speaking to the staff we
thought that the institute would provide the best coaching needed for our child. We decided to put in Aakash one year
hybrid course (which was the only program offered to us by the staff )
thinking that he would get proper coaching for his board & entrance exams.

They contacted the center at Trivandrum during the month of June & they
discussed the formalities via Whatsapp chats and telephonic conversations.
All the formalities were instructed through the same. We spoke with the
Faculty through a WhatsApp conference call where he assured us that he
would be available 24/7 to attend to any kind of issues we face. The fee
was agreed for Rs 68, 010 & all the post-dated cheques were collected in 5
installments. Before paying, they called us several times & assured us
that they will take care of everything.

But to our surprise, after the payment was done, They put my son in a batch which had already began in April and they completely
forgot about us. They even sent the PSID of the child only after constant
reminders.
Even though we had opted for weekend classes, he was enrolled in the
weekday classes. Nobody even took the effort to call us to give any kind of
instructions as to how to join the class or how to watch the recorded
videos or that there were practice tests available for the child. Nothing
at all. It was like, 'we have collected the money and now it’s your job to
figure out everything on your own'. Even after constant calls and
reminders, we were unable to get proper information about the classes. They
would not answer our calls or would give us someone else’s phone number to
call. Just to change to the weekend class, my wife had to call several
times. None of them responded properly & we saw our monthly payment getting
debited since we had given PDC.

During the months of July & August, no proper coaching was given to him and
his name was not even removed from the weekday classes and added to the
weekend class. No guidance was given as to how to attend the tests or
nobody to even ask why he did not attend the tests. No faculty ever called
for a PTA or absolutely nothing . It was as if somebody had tied our eyes
and left us into a dense jungle.

When I saw that our money, Rs.40, 000, had already been deducted by then,
without any result, I decided to send my wife to their office.We decided
that he should be changed to digital classes instead of hybrid classes.
We informed the office to change it to digital classes. At first, they
readily agreed to that and said that I should just send a mail citing the
reason and it would be changed without giving any further details.
After sending the mail to my surprise, my son was removed from the live
classes immediately. As per my knowledge, Aakash digital was supposed to
have live classes also. So once again my wife visited their office where she
was told that my son has been enrolled for the dlp program (even though we
had clearly mentioned changing him to the Digital program in our mail to
them) where he can attend the tests and he would be given only the study
materials needed. My wife told them that they were mistaken and we wanted
to change to Aakash digital. They initially quoted us that the digital
class fee is Rs 30, 000/- & later it was quoted that it was Rs 40, 000/-.
The response from the office was so bad. We requested them to return our
two installment cheques of September & November, as we had paid Rs 40, 00/-
till now to which they told us that we will lose 75% of the amount
we paid & we have to pay another 75% to enroll again. This came as a shock
to us since they had not mentioned all this during the time of enrollment
and selection of the program. It was absolutely due to disappointment and
dissatisfaction with the staff behavior and performance that we are forced
to change the course so why should we bear this loss?
When we asked for mail Id or phone no of head office we were told to take it fro. The internet. When we wrote an email complaining the issue to all the mail Id available on net it was again forwarded to the same man who was addressing us. He was mocking us saying wherever we send they mail will get to them only and we have to accept whatever solution they offer. Since we have paid the money we have to bear the loss. What kind of a solution is this?
No higher authority spoke to us for providing a solution and after repeated mails without any result we were forced to apply for refund.
