[Resolved] Aakash Institute — refund of security deposit.
This is a complaint against aakash institute, south-ex. Branch, foundation wing, new delhi for failure attitude for not refunding of security deposit of rs.2000/- paid at the time of admission. At the time of admission of my son shri abhranil mohanta in the aakash institute, south ex. Branch, new delhi for foundation course of class viii for the session 2017-18, i had deposited two cheques amounting to rs.2000/- as security deposit vide receipt no.003/rcc/e[protected] date 12/11/2016 and rs.44728/- (Vide receipt no.003/rcc/e[protected] dt.12/11/2016) as full fees. The said cheques were subsequently debited from my account. 2. My son's roll number was[protected] for foundation course of class viii. Subsequently, he was transferred to janakpuri branch in the month of august, 2018 for which i had also paid rs.1000/- to aakash institute through online as transfer charge. Later on, i had also paid rs.298/- vide receipt no.001rcc/e1756374 dated 09/12/2017 in response of message, received from the aakash institute, janakpuri branch. 3. The foundation course of class viii has been finished in february, 2018. As i have not received security deposit, i had contacted aakash institute, south-ex branch, new delhi in the month of march, 2018 and submitted a filled-in form for refund of security deposit in the cash counter of south ex. Branch. But i have not received security deposit of rs.2000/- till date. It is worth mentioning that no outstanding bill was pending till the end of the course. I had also contacted them through e-mail and on-line chatting but they did not respond. 4. Is it not the responsibility of the aakash institute to refund the security deposit to the customer well in time? Why should i worry about this? It is surprising that the institute is now silent at the time of refund of security deposit, while the institute was continuously in touch with the parents for admission and payments. It should be their duty to deposit the security amount to the customer’s account as soon as the course is finished. Was this information helpful?
