Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing for Grievances Redressal against Aakash Institute, GS Road, Guwahati for miscommunication, delay and negligence.
On 24th March 2025, I received a response to my enquiry about the NEET crash course from Ms. Pinaki of Aakash Institute, GS Road, Guwahati. She asked me to fill in the required details in a given format. Accordingly, I made the payment on 25th March 2025. She assured me that the payment process would be initiated within 10 minutes. Subsequently, she sent me a payment link for registration, which I completed and shared the payment screenshot. She acknowledged receipt of the payment at 9:26 PM.
On 26th March 2025, I followed up regarding the online classes, which were scheduled to begin on 27th March. However, on 27th March, I was informed that the classes would start the next day and that the remaining payment needed to be made. I reiterated that the classes were supposed to start on 27th March.
Later that day, I made the balance payment of Rs. 9, 800 via GPay to the QR code shared (linked to mobile number [protected]) and asked for course details. On 28th March, I again inquired about the online class link but received no response. I followed up with Ms. Pinaki, who replied that the payment had not yet reflected in their accounts department and that it might take some time. Even after repeated follow-ups on the same day, I was told the accounts team was still working on it.
On 30th March, I was informed there would be no class the next day due to Eid. On 1st April 2025, after a week of continuous follow-ups without resolution, I messaged expressing my disappointment and concern over being misled with false promises. I requested a refund for the advance payment made.
In response, I was told there were technical issues, and I was provided with two contact numbers for the accounts branch — Mr. Manjit Borah and Mr. Shashi Bhushan. Despite this, on 4th April 2025, I again contacted Mr. Ranjit and Ms. Pinaki, but received no response.
With no other recourse, I sent an email to [protected]@aesl.in, requesting a refund. However, I received a response stating that I had applied for a non-refundable short-term course and was advised to visit the branch for further queries. I replied, explaining that my refund request was not for a regular withdrawal but due to negligence by the institution, which caused significant mental stress and
wasted valuable time for my child — issues that go beyond just the monetary loss.
On 11th April 2025, I sent a reminder email, but once again, there was no response.
It is extremely disappointing that such a reputed institution has handled this matter in such a casual and unprofessional manner.
I kindly request that this matter be addressed urgently.
Sincerely,
[Dorjee Wangchu]
