MY son S. Bhavesh Raghav is studying IIT Engineering stream in Tirunelveli Branch, Tamil Nadu (Standard II). Now The branch is compelling the students to buy a TAB and asking them to bring to the class for online test. Standard XI and XII are the crucial period for the students. Sir, TAB in the hand surely deviate the boys form the studies. Moreover during admission, there no word about the TAB They told there is no computers, That is the fault of the branch. Why they not equipped with computers? They why start the branch? Sir, I am ready to buy a TAB. Kindly look into the, matter and give online test in computers. Thanking you | |||

We would like to apprise you, there is NO compulsion from our end upon the students to purchase any tab only. Students are free to bring their own tab as well. Or they can choose to purchase any other tablet from market ensuring that the specifications of the device are in accordance with those mention on the website, to enable them to write take uninterrupted 6 hour tests for JEE Main and Advanced. The purpose has only been to get students familiar and acquainted with the CBT mode of examinations which has been announced by the concerned authorities, NTA, for JEE Main and Advanced mandatory. Also, till 30th June’19 students of FS are allowed to appear for the test in Offline mode as well. Hope the above clarifies the misconception about the uncalled for allegations.
