To the Consumer Complaint Forum and all concerned, especially Aakash Educational Services Limited
I am reaching out due to a distressing and unresolved financial matter with Aakash Institute, Annamalai Nagar, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Our child, Sanjai Srinivas P (PSID: [protected]), was enrolled in their JEE preparation course, for which we paid a ₹25, 000 registration fee.
Our family, a lower-middle-class household with an unstable income (my husband works as a cook), is facing severe financial hardship. Unexpected school expenses this year have made it impossible for us to proceed with the JEE course. This ₹25, 000 refund is now critically needed to fund our child's basic education. We withdrew before availing any of Aakash's services.
Despite our genuine and urgent need, Aakash Institute has repeatedly denied our refund request. We've exhausted all internal channels:
Initial Email Request (May 21, 2025, 5:31 PM): Sent to Aakash Institute. No response received.
On-Site Visit (May 23, 2025): We personally visited the Trichy branch. We met with Mr. Pulamadan Kathiresan[protected] and the Branch Head, Mr. Nandakumar. We submitted a handwritten application explaining our financial distress. Mr. Nandakumar assured us our request would be forwarded to the Head Office for review, promising an update. No communication has been received since this visit.
Customer Care & Course Coordinator: We contacted customer care, who redirected us to the offline course coordinator. Again, our refund request was declined.
Formal Emails to Head Office: Sent emails to [protected]@aesl.in and [protected]@aesl.in. These complaints were closed without any response or resolution.
For a middle-class family, ₹25, 000 is a substantial amount. The institute's complete lack of response and refusal to reconsider our case, despite our extreme financial situation and direct appeals, is deeply concerning. This demonstrates a clear lack o[censored]nderstanding and accountability.
We understand policies, but we appeal for a compassionate and fair resolution on humanitarian grounds. A refund would significantly alleviate our burden and allow our child to continue their education.
We urge the Consumer Complaint Forum and Aakash Educational Services Limited leadership to personally intervene and facilitate the urgent refund of our registration fee.
