I am filing this complaint against Aditya Birla Health Insurance for gross delay in cashless claim processing.
FACTS:
- Policy Type: Group Health Insurance (via Bajaj Allianz collaboration)
- Hospital: Apollo Hospital, Chennai
- Patient Status: Medically fit for discharge
- Delay Duration: 48+ hours and counting
IRDAI VIOLATION:
As per IRDAI Master Circular 2024, discharge authorization must be provided within 3 hours. Aditya Birla Health Insurance has taken 48+ hours with no resolution.
ISSUES FACED:
1. Claim requests rejected repeatedly without proper review
2. Team demanding documents already submitted multiple times via email
3. Asking for irrelevant documents unrelated to treatment
4. All documents have been attested by treating doctors at Apollo Hospital
5. Endless loop: reject → ask documents → reject → ask again
