Airlines — ticket cancellation fee

With airlines and online there should be something like cooling off period for ticket cancellation. I've booked a flight ticket with id emt45066687, but with wrong destination by mistake, so have to cancel' but within two minutes. By doing so got cancellation charge of rs. 2965.00 just for two minutes which is too much for two minutes. So there should be some sort of cooling off period like 12/24 hrs. If someone cancelled a booked ticket within 12/24hrs there should not be such huge charge except normal charge like rs.200-rs.500 depending on the amount of the tickets.
