[Resolved] Airlines — Not receiving any refund for Tickets | |||
Hi, I had booked Tickets through Air Asia last year for Travel to Bangkok in November. Due to the flood situation adn as mostly alkl travel advisories were not to go to Thailand (except where urgent) we cancelled our tickets. Now Air Asia didnt have a policy of refunding money and hence issued us a Credit note valid for 3 months where Tickets can be booked for any ongoin travel date.Tickets could be booked for dates even beyond 3 months of the validity period. We argued that it was a naturla disaster and hence as a special case the airline should refund money but this was not considered. Now Air Asia is set to close their flight operations form Mumbai and New Delhi from mid march 2012. And we are stuck with the credit note. Now we have to mandatory use it before March 2012. Please request you to look into this case. Since cancellation of tickets was more of a natural calamity then a personal cancellation; Airline should look at making refunds on this .
