I purchased SIM card of AIRTEL on 7-Apr-13, for personal purpose. I was charged Rs. 45 for that. Initially I didn't see the Price written in the SIM card envelop. Later on I observed that it was written Rs. 15. Ofcourse, it is very small amount, but this shows the credibility of the service provider / its dealers.
Anyways, I was promised that my card with be activated in two days. But it took more than 7 days for them to activate. Dealership gave me many reasons for the delay like: Documentation and stamping issue (so I submitted another set of documents immediately), the person who collects the form is on live due to Ugadi and Airtel has given 2 days off to them, the person who collected my form has gone to his native home. When I asked his contact number, the dealer person told me that he will not pick the call as it is after office hours and he is at his relative's place.
When I asked why did he charge me more for the SIM card then he arrogantly told me that he has employed people on payroll, he has to take care of the shop and running expense. He also asked me to buy the SIM from any other shop who sells at MRP. I thought it is futile talking to him so I didn't discuss much with him on why he charged me more.
After much argument he gave me one manager in Airtel. He was the only person who helped me a lot and activated my SIM card on 15-Apr-13 (8 days after I bought SIM card). This shows the poor level of professionalism (the manager being an exception) at the operational level. I request Airtel to take some strong steps in improving the customer experience, especially at the operational level.
Also, although the amount charged by the dealer to me was not a very big amount, but it shows the credibility and honesty of the people who are selling the SIM card. Therefo,re please look into the matter and resolve this as soon as possible.
All I would say that my initial experience with Airtel was very bad.

AirTel — No response for my complaints
For my number Hello tunes is been activated without my knowledge. I didn't do anything to activate it. Got a msg telling its copied from my aunt's. Maybe I've pressed * without knowing then i got a msg tellin to reply with 9 to activate. I didn't even see that msg but it has been activated. When I contacted my service provider no response. They told to be in line while am waiting the call is getting disconnected. This is frustrating. I am getting hurt due to this. This is not happening to me but to many to be frank to every customer. Most of the customers are leaving this as such. Whose money is this. I may not get justice but some may read this. Few may think of this and raise against this. I want people to wake up. This is our money. We have to fight for our rights.
