I applied for airtel broadband on monday 4/5/2020.in the same day i got call from sathish who is the local incharge for connection.

I said very clearly if it is possible to give connection by 2 days. Then he asked the location. I mentioned the location too. He said he will give the connection within 2 days

On 5/5/2020 i got the call from local person to make payment for broadband
I made the payment of inr 2828 for three month (799 plan-150gb/month plan). Then i checked airtel app which is showing landline number for broadband:[protected]Dsl)

No response from local team after payment

On 7/5/2020 while following up they are telling they need 700mtrs cable to install broadband. Which is not possible. They are telling we will cancel this connection and refund the amount paid.

My complaint here is before making payment why cant they say the connection is not possible for our location

Complaint 2:

The mistake is purely with local team and now we have wait more than 10 days to refund our amount

    My husband had activated the airtel secure handset protection plan on his samsung a50 mobile and unfortunately the mobile screen got damaged in an accidental fall in office.

    Description: he was sitting on a chair at 11:30 am (24 feb 2020) reading an e mail on his samsung a50 phone, and someone startled him from behind. The phone slipped from his hand and fell on the floor face down (Screen facing down). When he picked it up the screen had some cracks and all he could see was some rainbow colors on the screen except for the right side which had some cracks. After that he picked up the phone, took out the sim and put it on his other phone so that he could raise the claim on airtel secure.

    1. We tried raising the complaint online on airline portal but the application had some error, so we had to go to an airtel store (Which is pretty far from where we stay).

    2. The customer care executive at the store clearly said that he cant help us, and we would have to email the details to [protected]@teamhgs.com and [protected]@teamhgs.com. We did all this the same day (Including attachments of the phone picture/imei number/damaged part. Etc) when the phone was damaged (I. E. 24 feb 2020).

    3. There was no response from airtel for 2 days and even after multiple follow-ups, we got a generic email on 26 feb 2020 to send the email to the nodal officer (Which we did on the same day itself).

    4. After this, we made so many calls asking for an update, but there was absolutely no response from airtel for 4 days.

    5. On 03 march 2020, airtel responds asking to send an email with detailed description of the incident and all the documents and pictures (Including "one assist" this time). Same thing gets repeated the next day where they ask us to send the email with all the details (This time even more elaborately).

    6. Same day, in the evening, one assist calls and asks us to do the same thing on the airtel website/application once again (But guess what, the airtel app again has some error).

    7. All this with endless phone calls with customer care executives, and explaining the story to each one of them from start till that day every time (Not sure if its understood, but trust me its so frustrating to do that, when you are in office) and in case you missed the airtel call, then you dont get an update (So you cant miss their call, even though you are in a meeting and even though they have an alternate number to reach).

    8. Not only this, sending so many emails and writing the incident description and uploading the pictures (Sometimes on email, sometimes on app) is also very irritating, as he didn't even have a proper phone (Not even mentioning how challenging it was to manage everything without a phone for so many days and not knowing what to do).

    9. By now, we had lost all the patience. But finally, we get a call after a couple of days informing that his claim is rejected (Reason: there is no external factor involved in the incident).

    What is with these people? Will anyone, in a conscious state of mind, just damage their phone? Obviously, something or some activity triggers any incident to take place.

    Our frustration with airtel is not just because they rejected the claim (That is definitely there because it just seems so illogical to give that reason to a customer). But our frustration is about the mental, emotional and physical stress that airtel guys put us through in those 10-11 days.

    We hope, the consumer forum here understands the situation. If not, we would at least like to make other people aware of the problems/ issues/ challenges that we had to face as airtel customers.

        I had paid rs. 3001/- mobile bill on 1st may 2020 through airtel app based on offer of rs. 250/- cashback. I have not yet received the cashback in my airtel payment account. [protected] is airtel relationship number.

        Airtel offered cashback of 250/- for mobile bills paid above 3000/- during 01 may 2020 to 31 may 2020 through airtel payment. The cashback was to be credited within 3 wkg days. Today is 7th may 2020, no amount has been credited to the account.
        Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
        I received a call from an unknown number with knowledge about the airtel payment issue. (screen shot o[censored]nknown number is attached - for reference). But the person solving the problem asked me to install a app which would give him remote access to my screen... as part of the solution. It was ok fm my side as long as non-intrusive and sticking to the airtel issue of non payment of cashback. The character asked me to credit 10/- into my airtel account through credit /debit card. But luckily the card data was pre-installed /saved in airtel app! These team who had the remote screen suddenly asked me to make payment credit into my airtel payment account feeding in new debit card number - ( fraud sign), which was strange. So I asked the intention (meanwhile they kept asking for otp 's which I was receiving through sms for adding 100/- (as there was no 10/- option in airtel app)) they did not know the exact issue. I decided to cut off the fraud call. But I feel there's a leakage in your system whereby mu number etc detail went to the fraudsters, within few hours!!! Also in the past 300 + times during past 7 years, all reversals of money to my payment source have been automatic, without me having to give my credit card, debit card, bnk account details to any customer care chaps. Please warn others also about such fraudsters.

          I last my sim on 1st may 2020. I approach to airtel store, rs puram, coimbatore on 7th may 2020 for applying duplicate sim and i submitted a copy of my aadhaar card for id proof and shown soft copy also. But the customer care executive told to me "we accept original aadhaar card and the copy of aadhaar not considered for getting sim, as per trai regulations."

          Finally i submitted my employment id (Govt.), pan also. After that they gave a sim (Charged rs. 25/-) on same day and told to me the sim will be activated 11th may 2020 after submitting original aadhaar card.

          "as per honorable supreme court of india aadhaar is not mandatory for getting sim cards" then why those people ask the aadhaar for mandatory one.

          Please some one provide an clarification/suggestions for this issue.

            I had recharged airtel number through google app, the amount was detected from my account but the recharge was not successful. i have raised the issued 2 times but there was no proper result to it. they said payment would be done within 3 days, but this 5th day and there is no positive response. Can i get a refund.

                This is anvesh, from vijayawada, in previous month for online classes i activated internet booster pack of rs. 100 & rs. 200/-. This month also booster pack automatically renewal, i went to airtel showroom to deactivate booster plan, they told work was completed and u will get message with in half an hour regarding ur issue. 3 hrs completed till now i don't know about the issue closed or not.in airtel app also there is no booster service deactivation option. Only booster pack activation is there. Once we activated we want to continue the booster pack. I think there is no consumer choice to deactivate pack from airtel app. So solve issue asap

                  Recharged 49rs on may 3, 2020 11:49 am. I have called only to gas agency for booking cylinder. Thereafter, outgoing stopped, the reason is zero balance in your account as the voice messages received repeatedly. Is it correct, i am very much insulted and same on your network, so i feel very very sorry, thinking shifting other networks alternatively. So, i kindly request you to rectify the cause as early as possible immediately. Thank you.

                      On may 2nd i recharged for this following mobile number ([protected]) via hdfc net banking from airtel.in website.
                      I received an sms with transaction reference of rs. 399. Bank transaction was also completed successfully but my mobile is not recharged. Till now i received no message regarding the recharge, although the amount has been debited from my bank account.

                          On 14the April, i tried do recharge to my father mobile via airtel thanks app.

                          Payment i have initiated from GPay, however payment deducted for Rs 1498 but recharge not happened.

                          I tried calling 121/198 but not connecting and mails were dropped to [protected]@airtel.in but i did not find it helpful.

                              Amount deducted from bank but failed bill payment with airtel. Dear, i have made airtel online post paid bill payment on 5th may, 2020. Amount got deducted from hdfc bank. Payment successfully. Money deducted from my hdfc bank. But from airtel side they said money not reached them. And the transaction has failed. I have not received any refund to my bank after that. They have disconnected my dth for non payment of recharge. Details are mentioned below:

                                I have bought an airtel digital tv online from airtel.in on 24 march for rs 1660/- but for lockdown it could not be installed. But after 3rd may as the govt. Has allowed nonessential services in green zones they have still not installed it. I am in a green zone and i have been continuously requested them for the same and have written email as well as sent tweets requesting them to install the same asap but no response whatsoever in twitter. I have received an email which gave the reference no. [protected].

                                Kindly resolve my issue and take appropriate penal action against this company at the earliest.

                                  I recharged on 30th April of 598 with airtel app today is 6th May I didn't get money back.. tried contacting customer service no response in this hard time where a single rupee is important I lost 598 and my number is also closed what do I do now whom should I contact please help me to get my money back..

                                    Hi, i'm from kolkata. I was using tata docomo number ([protected]) as my primary number and it's really important for me. As all bank accounts are linked to it.

                                    But due to unavailability of recharge facility it has been deactivated. Please help me. Want to reactivate as soon as possible. I checked several times and the number isn't reissued yet.

                                    So, i started contacting airtel customer service by sending email and called toll free number but unable to get any response from them.

                                    Please help.

                                      I have recharged my airtel mobile number of [protected] for rs.448/- through my airtel app. I got payment initiated message to my mobile number. First bank payment transaction was unsuccessful then it was completed but for three times continuously. The bank transaction id numbers are txn#907847 for the first time, txn#907929 for the second time and txn#907728. Yet i didn't get my recharge or my deducted money.

                                        Airtel dth - airtel doing fraud and scam

                                        I am requesting you, to take suitable action against airtel digital tv,. As they charge too much monthly instalment just i have selected only 8 channels. These are channel no. 877 to 901 here two are hd channel and few advertiging channels optinall
                                        Free channel are news chanals are add by the defalt but every month they are deducting rental is rs.398 they are sending sms. Reefer that no balance immediately recharge it. Several times i have filed a complaint in the airtel dth web site no response. Today also i have got the sms, keeping bellow
