[Resolved] Akbar Travels — poor handling service | |||
We are residing in new zealand, as we are not able to travel my mother who is residing in trivandrum has to bring my kids8yr and 2 yr back to nz who went to india for their holidays. They travelled to nz last week in emirates. It was very distressing and frustrating experience for my mother. First of all we arranged the wheel chair assistance for my mother which is not even asked or dint get through out the journey, she has to carry all luggage and kids by herself.in between the transit in dubai she found entirely left alone,, as because difficulty in english she struggled hard to find the right gates as well. Usually every time when she comes, wheelchair assistance was delivered appropriately. Second concern is for an infant she dint get the seat, so she was holding the 2 yr old through out journey as you know dubai to akl is nearly 18 hrs travel.. We always travel with kids mostly and usually our agency or we call directly to ensure there is a seat for a baby, as we know it’s hard to get on the same day when we r departing, or we will only book tickets on dates and confirm when the seat available for baby.. So we are well aware of airlines and their rules. My first question is why mother is not informed about these things and why you are not able to get the seat for the baby before flying. What happened to wheel chair assistance, my mother’s ticket has been changed twice, so i want proof of wheelchair assistance, which is attached to reference no of ticket. My mother is 56 yrs old and diabetic she could not eat or drink as bacause of the kid on the lap,, we received here dizzy and was she nearly falling off and we took her to hospital and she just back to home today.. We flyed mostly all major airlines,,, as an agency it’s your responsibility to provide better service and get proper customer satisfaction,, akbar travels really failed in this. When i questioned the person who has responsible said that” i am having lunch now “and call me later.. I am raising concern, because i wish it won’t happen to any other single person Was this information helpful? | |||

I am one of the member of the above mentioned family and this was most awful booking we have ever done . The positiveness and fake customer service provided was a huge trap and I will not recommend this travels to anyone.
More over the agent who booked us did not attach the separate tickets so as my mother and niece/Nephews could seats together.Instead the Emirates authorities had to take care of this while in the transit and this was an havoc and nearly missed the connecting flight to Auckland. The agent did not assign or block the seats and instead did not even bother informing the travelers regarding this.
