Hi,
I upgraded my broadband service from 16 mbps to 40 mbps more than a year back. I would have frequent disconnections and low internet speed for which i had to complain every other month. Every time i complained, they would send someone home even though i insisted that there may be an infrastructure issue and somehow close the complaint. The issue would appear to be resolved for 2 to 3 weeks and reappear again after which i complained again and the cycle would continue.

The most recent episode of my complaint cycle started on 20-jan-2018 when i wrote to [protected]@airtel.com. This time, i received a reply from [protected]@airtel.com promising to look into my problem. On 2-feb-2018 i received a reply that the problem would continue if i didn't downgrade to 24 mbps as my address was more than 880m from their distribution point.

My contention is that this is breach of faith bordering on fraud on the following counts -

1. Airtel offered me the service when they were aware that they did not have the infrastructure to support it

2. They have supposedly provided me with a service that were incapable of providing for more than a year, for which i paid every month

3. Till now, they have never accepted that there was any infrastructure issue in spite of my raising the possibility every time i complained

4. They never informed me that the infrastructure was incapable of supporting the service offered to me and i have reasons to believe that they would never have informed me if i had not complained.in effect, they would have fraudulently continued to offer me a service they were incapable of offering, charging me for the same.

I want airtel to give me a timeline for upgrading their infrastructure to be able to provide me promised service. I also want them to compensate me for not being able to provide me the promised service from the time i upgraded to the 40 mbps plan till date and till the time the infrastructure is upgraded appropriately.

Please help.
