Below is how my AC buying experience has been from Amazon (INDIA).
16th March 2025
I ordered a Panasonic 1 Ton 4 Star Wi-Fi Inverter Split AC (Model No. CS/CU - WU12YKYXF).
19th March 2025
I received the order and shared the OTP with the courier vendor.
20th March 2025
I received a call from the Panasonic Service team from the installation of the AC.
Once the AC box was opened by the Panasonic Service Team, I noticed that the product was different to what I had ordered. After checking the Model Number on the box, I got to know that the product I had received was a different model. I received a Panasonic Split AC with Model No. CS-NU 12ZKY4W.
I asked the Panasonic Service Team to stop the installation process and called up Amazon Customer Service to report the issue, they were kind enough to register the case and investigate the issue.
21st March 2025
I called up the Amazon Customer Service team to check on the status that was reported on 20th March 2025. They informed me that the seller has sent the correct product and they have all the images/documents to support this. I asked them to share it with me, they told me that we can not share it.
After this conversation, I checked the invoice on the amazon app and I was shocked to see that the bill had the same model number that I had ordered (Model No. CS/CU - WU12YKYXF).
Now, I am unable to understand,
How the product/model number was changed in the transit when amazon has already verified before delivering the product to me?
Is there a possibility that the courier vendor has changed the product?
There is no support from Amazon Customer Care Team on this.
