I received a call saying from Icici Bank and they are redeeming points worth 6999.They asked for my OTP and send me gifts not worth more than rs 3000.But it was charged in my CC bill as Amtec Engineers_PayTM.So this is a fraud company .

I was deceived by the amtec engineers. They used my ICICI credit card information and made a transaction of 6, 999.

I had a similar calls from the same numbers mentioning that they are calling from ICICI Bank and they are redeeming my lapse points with the offer, on 14-September-2014 received calls and also email was sent to my registered email id with ICICI bank with the onetime 6 digits transaction password and also to my mobile. The email id : [protected]@icicibank.com. So had to believe that it is from the Bank. On 14-Sep-2014 there were several calls from these numbers and initially they mentioned that some one from Dermy communications will call and asked us not to share any details of the Bank and only to follow the IVR. The IVR transaction could not be completed, later there were several calls made to my mobile, which I had to Ignore. Today on 15-Sep-2014 again got calls from the same numbers and informed that since they were unable to complete the transactions on 14-Sep-2014, so now they mentioned company by name Amtec engineering will be calling and they will be offering an package of rs 6999/- for which i need not pay any and it will get redeemed through points. In mean time, they had sent me the online transaction password again to my registered email and mobile, so thought this is true and gave the cvv details. Later got message that transaction has been made for 6999/-. They called me again for making the successful transaction and some one from Amtec will call us.
They used interact only in Hindi, even though i was speaking in English. Some one called again and confirmed on the package. They are doing systematically so that we do not get any doubt. I am not sure how they can make transaction when I have created online secure transaction password, which was not shared to them or did not use it with their IVR.

I too am a victim of this fraud. One fine day received a call from someone claiming to be from ICICI. He was speaking in Hindi and unfortunately I knew Hindi, so the conversation went ahead stating that I have some unclaimed reward points and I being a good customer to ICICI, they want to refund those points in the form of gifts for Rs 6, 999/- .I asked him if this will reflect in my credit card, he said - for today there will be a temporary debit; but will be adjusted against the reward points in the coming days. I asked him how do I believe if the call is from a genuine caller of ICICI, for which he replied 'mam look at the Debit message you received, its from ICICI Id ' which was right & I was forced to believe the genuiness of the person. The guy also said that I will get a call from Amtec Engineers and they will say that this amount will be debited and NOT adjusted against any reward points. You should just say that its not an adjustment of reward points; otherwise they will cancel the gifts. When the Amtec guys called, surprisingly they asked me the same questions...!
Finally I received some stupid gifts not exceeding 2500/- . They have also sent some magic card & coupons for [protected]@once, I could hardly see anything useful there though.
When I received the statement for ICICI, I could see the debit of 6999/- and when Spoke to the customer care, they happily said .. mam its a fraud, you please go to your nearest police station and raise an FIR. I asked him, what happens to my debit which was forcefully made on my card, he said no mam... you raise the FIR, police will take care.

I am not sure what and who will take care of this fraud. One thing I don't understand is - Why is ICICI sitting silently on this. How can those guys get my card number and telephone number, which are supposed to be confidential. How can anyone make transactions on my card without my permission? How do I safely carry ICICI Credit cards in future. I have blocked my card which was used for fraud; but this incident has shattered my belief with ICICI Credit cards and will think twice before getting another card from them. - Bangalore - Krishna

Have any body recover these amount? Continuously they are doing fraud, but no action taken on this by banks/police!.

i am comp. on Dec 12th after no replay from ICICI bank is blocked my credit card and not issue new credit, this Amtec Engineers on location on website is New Delhi and is charge on credit card from Mumbai, i am try to send e-mail and contact to Amtec Engineers as per website contact but e-mail rejected and phone is no answer this fraud company is continue used credit card machine and no any credit card company block this company swiping machine or any action against this Amtec Engineers, all indian credit card company have a farud complaints against this Amtec Engineers but no action or FIR gainst this fraud company

Hi i am Srinivasulu from bangalore, from the company representative the called me told they are going to increase the credit limit of the ICICI credit card. and my existing reward points going to expiry, representative told me redemption the points 15000, for that the representative told me the offer 6999 worth gifts hamper from the company and, representative told me to pay the amount from the card and the amount will be refunded back to the account with next billing cycle. today i got the doubt i called the customer care people regarding this, they told its fraud, we have not collected any thing from me, plzz help me to solve this problem the representative called from this number[protected] and[protected] on 12th Jan 2015 morning 10.30 i got the calls, Now i lost my 6999.00 rupees from the card, plzz help me, how could i get back my money. for more information contact me [protected] or mail me mylu.[protected]@gmail.com

NEVER, EVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO THESE FRAUDSTERS.. I HAVE GOT A CALL RECENTLY AND BLASTED & CAUTIONED THESE CHEATERS.. THEY GOT SCARED & CUT THE CALL. UNFORTUNATE IS THAT EVEN THE GIRLS ARE ALSO INOLVED IN THE TEAM.. THE TEAM MEMBERS ARE WELL TRAINED TO CHEAT THE PUBLIC.

I am latest victim of this company. I got call saying they are from ICICI bank and few points are getting elapsed. As the part of policy I will be getting the free gifts. When i checked my credit card statement later i found transaction of 6999/- completed successfully with my credit card and now I need to pay the bill. The ICICI bank representative asked to lodge a complaint in cyber crime police station. i sent mail to [protected]@ksp.gov.in and then called to the police. They asked i have to lodge the FIR at local police station. Need to follow up about this. But one thing is because of some loopholes from bank, these frauders are getting credit card holders' information and they are making use of this. So far they are succeeded.
Somebody experts' suggestion/ guidence will help to catch hold of these frauders.

ok. i wont repeat the way this happened. it happened the same way as everyone said here. but what is troubling me is that icici customer care says it is a 3D secure transaction where you enter the 3d secure pin online. Im 500% sure there was no such thing i did on that call. in fact i was not at the computer.

so where did they get my credit card details? how did they do the 3d transaction without me doing it? this is a bigtime identity theft at icici bank and they are not ready to accept it. their 3d secure thing isnt that secure afterall. they have to be held responsible for both of these.


ICICI bank has to answer.

I am the latest victim of the fraud from Amtec Engneer PayTM

On 2nd Feb 2015 I received a call from someone claiming to be from ICICI Name Krutika.
She told me that I have some unclaimed reward points which are lapsed and as I am the privileged customer of ICICI, The bank want to refund those points in the form of some gifts.
She said as the points are lapsed the Bank will give me a gift worth 6999/- from the third party company. I just need to make a payment of 6999/- through IVR to that company and ICICI will revert it by redeem my rewards points.
She said there will be a temporary debit entry in my card just to show that I have got this gift and bank will again make a credit entry within 10 days. So, I do not have to pay any single rupees to them.

I doubted on her and asked her how do I believe if the call is from a genuine caller of ICICI ?
In reply to my question she replied with confident "Sir look
at the OTP message you received, its from ICICI Number na ?

And it was right. I got the OTP from 'VMICICIB'

So I was forced to believe the genuineness of the person.
The girl also said that I will get a call from the third party company i.e. 'Amtec Engineers' and they will say that "this amount will be debited from your account and NOT adjusted against any reward points. You only need to say that its not an adjustment against any reward points otherwise they will cancel the gifts."

And to my surprise When the Amtec guy called me, they asked me the same questions...! So as instructed by the girl who called me I said yes for the transaction of 6999/-

But after ending the call I feel some suspicious so immediately called ICICI customer care and explained them the whole incident. The person understand the seriousness and immediately suggest me to block the Credit Card.
He willingly said that he will block the card immediately. So I said YES for blocking the card on 02 Feb 2015.
When I asked him to stop the payment of 6999/- he said the transaction is already made and we can not stop it.

After 2 day when I did not received any message of blocking the card I called up the ICICI Customer care for checking the status of my Card, and I am shocked to know that the card is not yet block.
The lady Executive informed me its not blocked yet.So again I requested her to block the card immediately. She assured me that she will block the card.
Also when I enquired about the transaction of 6999/- she said its not yet claimed buy the Amtec Engeeners.
So I again requested her to stop the payment, but she said she can not stop the payment. Instead she asked me to lodge a FIR with the Cyber Cell of Police Department.

I will file the FIR but I do not understand below things ?

1> If the transaction is not yet claimed by the Amtec Engineers why cant ICICI stop the payment. May be the AMTEC company is waiting before claiming, so that if some one lodged the complaint they might be in trouble. So instead facing the issue they must be waiting. If no body come forward and lodged the complaint they feel secure and then they can claimed the payment.
But if payment is not done then why ICICI can not stop it. Is there any personal benefit for ICICI from this ?

2> ICICI bank must have received many complaints about this incidents, so instead of asking customer to Lodge a FIR with police why ICICI can not do anything in a legal way to protect their Brand Name and their customer and customers belief in ICICI.

3> What about the person who assured me that he will block my card on 02 Feb 2015.
Because when I called him he immediately understand the situation and suggested me to block the card which I accepted, but even after 2 days the card is still ACTIVE. So is there any disciplinary action against this person.

Is there any one can give me satisfactory explanation / remedy for my above queries.
