Aniket Vijay Kalbhor — Act as Tenant but involved in Fraud Activities

This guy is fraud.
The same thing happened to me that I posted my property for rent in magic bricks. He contacted me over phone and said that he is working in CISF and getting transferred to Mysore Airport. By seeing photos he agreed to take the home and wanted to deposit the amount. He asked my bank information after a day he said that he will be calling from his office and I need to talk to his account officer. The next day morning he called me and said that to add an account as a beneficiary to my account. I got doubt that and asked him why I need to add him as beneficiary and he said that this how his company policy works. I added him as a beneficiary. He then asked me to share screen shot. since I got doubt I googled his name and I found many people are already got cheated by this fellow. Thanks for posting.

Very surprising that this guy is still active and hasnt been nabbed by cops. i was about to become his victim but thankfully sense prevailed and i didnt make the inadvertant money transfer.

i am abroad and dont know how to go about making a police complaint on this matter. which jurisdiction will prevail? anyways, i have all the proofs in my whatsapp of all the communication that happended and possibly the forged ID cards he shared with me. He operates from the number[protected]. He has an accomplice who almost hypnotises you into making the payment operates from the number[protected].

Received the same rent trap from the same guy - Aniket Vijay kalbhor luckily Google saved me. He was shifting to Ghaziabad and cisf base location was suppose to be Indirapuram for which he would need home for rent. Thanks everyone for posting about it.

This gang contacted my yesterday. Same documents, and pic he shared with me. I asked him to come on video call, and he seems to be the same.. He hurriedly cut the call in just 1 minute stating that he is currently deployed at airport and can't make video call due to security reasons. I barely transferred 1 Rs(as a gesture), and then scolded them for trying to teach me.

I raised a complaint in cyber cell but they are saying this is a gang of people who take false id proofs from internet. They even take phone numbers of someone who is no more, or unaware and create online bank account. In creating online bank accounts they do not even give full address. Now a days its so easy to create online bank account so it becomes difficult to track them.

This guy contacted me today. I randomly checked his name online ans found this thread. Will be reporting this in the cyber cell. Thanks and beware of these kind of frauds.

This scam is still on.. he posed as Aniket Vikay Kalbhor a few weeks ago and then as Anil Kumar with a new phone number. I assumed that this was routine since he was 'being reposted from North East to Bangalore, he also mentioned that be will be out for a week for gun training in the shooting range. HE WANTED PIX DESPERATELY..THEN THERE WAS THIS CALL THAT WIFE HAS APPROVED AND HE NEEDS TO MOVE ASAP. That CISF has a budget, now mind you this is a high end apartment.

Now, hearing spartan English and a hindi accent, I was more intent to help someone from the services. It never crossed my mind that this could be a scam... but as I contd the conversation, the story was moving sideways. House was undergoing a renovation and hence the move in date for far away, so I did not understand why this person was ready to push cash down.. that too from a Services account.

Still, a renter locking for two years, ready to pay 10x monthly, half the deposit clouds your mind. I was pestered so much, that I decided to take the deposit ...

And as I sat thru that process, I was being asked the following -

1) Send GPay/PayTM/PhonePe phone number (I did not)
2) Send UPI ID (I did, because UPI is receive only, you cannot take money out)
3) They wanted Acct and IFDC number (I did, which was a mistake)
4) They wanted 'Add beneficiary for transfer' which did not make sense to receive money. (I stopped here)
5) They went on to say the Army Credit Card needs it, I still did not get wind of the scam..I said, I will need a check from them in person.

EPILOGUE
Then googled this clown's number and hit this page. Simply devastated that I even got to this stage.
Deleted all the chat messages and the info I had already given via Whatsapp.. blocked both numbers..

I am shocked that this scam has been going on for more than a year.
That magicbricks, 99acres etc do not have a simple string filter for this guy's name as a simple check.
That this person is not locked away for a long time.

On 21st Dec 2022, fraudster named Aniket Vijay (Mobile No.[protected]) called me & informed that he has got my number from Magicbricks for getting the flat on rental basis for his family. He asked to send the photographs of Flat to show his wife. I forwarded the photographs to him. Later, he informed that his wife has liked the flat & ready to take on rental basis. He then asked me to send my bank details so as to transfer the Security Deposit. I forwarded the bank details. Next day, he called me & informed that he is sending Security Deposit. He informed that the money can only be transferred through Gpay, phonepe or Paytm from Army's Credit Card account. Then he asked to open the Gpay app & click Bank Transfer option. He asked to enter & re-enter the bank account details, IFSC code of Army's account from which, money will be transferred. (His A/c No.[protected], IFSC HDFC0004240) I pointed out him that, you are asking me to enter recipient's details. Money is going to transfer from my account to his account. I came to know that this is something fishy & decided to not carry out frudelent transaction. I could save from the cheating of fraudster Aniket Vijay. The concerned who are letting out their flats are required to be cautious from such type of fraudster gangs.

This guy is certainly a fraud and tried calling me again with intent to dupe. Again wishing to become tenant where he said that he is getting transferred from Ahmedabad airport. Got suspicious when OLX also warned against sharing any details with him and blocked him!

Surprised when he told Google pay had different payment mechanism where you have to click on transfer money to receive money. How can that be possible? Because he said that this is how army has go tthis feature in-built. Haha ;)

Such guys should certainly be jacked who are misusing and flouting with being army personnel.

Strange that such fleeces are openly roaming around without getting caught

He contacted me as well on 27th December 2022 with the same story ( I am working with CISF, have wife & one daughter, got transferred from Gujarat). He showed interest in shifting to my rented house from 5th Jan. I told him that my house is FOR SALE, not for rent but he asked me to share Google Pay details so that he can transfer 2 months advance.

Due to this, I found him suspicious and blocked him immediately. Later I checked on internet about his complaints.

He should get arrested.

This fraud guy called "Aniket Vijay" contacted my parents as well from "OLX" for renting our house yesterday (30 dec 2022) .. He said he was working in CISF and have wife and a daughter.. He contacted through whatsapp and asked for photos of the house to show his wife and then informed us that they liked the house today and would want to know the advance payment and monthly rent.. I got suspicious as he had not even seen the house in person and is asking about payment.. So I asked him as to when he would visit the house to which there was no response.. Soon, I could sense a real red flag and just proceeded to google olx scams and his name ..and to my surprise, I found many scams done by the same person and same story!! Immediately blocked him..Guys, please be aware of these fraudulents! What you can do to be safe is :
1. Never accept or pay using online payment modes.. Instead ask them to pay in cash in person to be on a safer side.
2. Do not believe the fake IDs shown by these scammers.
3. If some buyer pings you giving their mobile number to contact them..Avoid such messages.

This person called "Aniket Vijay" contacted (called) my parents yesterday (30 dec 2022) through olx to rent our house. He said he is working in CISF and he is getting transferred from ahmedabad airport on 5th jan. He said he lives with his wife and a daughter. He contacted through whatsapp then and asked us to send the pictures of the house so he can show his wife.. Today (31 dec 2022), he informed us that they liked our house and asked about advance payments and monthly payments upon which i was suspicious as he is asking this without even seeing the house in person and so, I pinged him asking him to visit and see the house with his family to which i received no response.. At this point, it seemed like a real red flag to me and then I just googled on OLX frauds and with the name of this person as well.. To my surprise, this person has scammed many people by using the same name, same story, fake IDs and using online payment modes to scam people!! So, I urge everyone to stay safe and we aware of these fraudulents who pose to be government employees!!
Something that you can do to be safe is :
1. Never involve in online payments across these sites to be on safer side..Instead, deal with cash payments .
2. If you are a seller or owner, Do not respond to people asking to contact them giving some number.. They would contact if they want.
