I received call on 01.01.2023 evening from the fellow from number [protected]. Modus-operandi ditto the same. This time he is getting the transfer from Pune Airport to Thiruvananthapuram, as my house for rent is there. He has taken the details from Magic Bricks. Lot of loose ends (like (i) his hasty ness to fix the house even without seeing inside the house despite I repeatedly told him the house needs maintenance (ii) no negotiation for rent or advance amount (iii) his claim that initial advance amount will be paid by the employer even without any rental or lease agreement (iv) his reluctance to pay the amount by way of cheque instead of electronic transfer etc.) evoked serious doubts in my mind. So I asked him to come on a video call. After initial hesitation (saying that he is on duty), he came on video call. The video was slightly blurred and the lip movement was not in sync with the audio. Further, the lip movements continued even after he stopped speaking. This further strengthened my sense that “all is not right” with this transaction. So I refused him and immediately he started showering severe abuse on me. As I retaliated saying my credentials, he slowly came down and stopped the conversation saying “sorry”. I blocked his number. I came to know about this as a scam only when I shared my above experience with a colleague later today. Though this is in public knowledge (internet) for a long time, I choose to explain my experience only to sensitize that even they are coming in video calls to dupe the public.

He is still active, Contacted me today ( Jan 05 2023).. Same story.. getting transferred to my place from Ahmedabad with his wife and daughter. Needs to see photos of house but is okay with teh rent and advance even before seeing teh photos. I just checked online and got so many fraud cases in his name.. Wonder why he still uses the same name everywhere
Please be aware. This guy called me for renting my flat. He is agreeing for everything and agreed for the rent. When i do the background check, i've figure out this scam. He said he is from Gujarat and deployed to Coimbatore airport and said he will send his IDs/proof etc. I said i will send my uncle Superendent of Police from Gujarat to collect advance and then he has stopped calling me. Please be aware and do your background check before renting your flat/house. Also, dont give your AC details, address, etc. God bless you!
I got a call today from the same person Aniket Vijay from phone no [protected] with same photo and ID. He said he was calling from Gauhati and was transferred to Hubli Airport, Karnataka. Thanks to all who have replied here. I was saved by getting cheated.
I contacted cyber cell 1930 but got a luke warm response. Hope this fraudster gets nabbed.
I saw that the same news has appeared in Times of India and yet he is roaming free carrying out his modus operandi.

Today, I also got the call from the guy posing as Aniket Vijay Kalbhor, and he shared the copy of adhaar card, CISF card and family photo. When I searched on google came across the link "https://www.omilights.com/be-aware-of-aniket-vijay-kalbhor-online-cyber-fr...⇄ all the photos he had shared were there on this link.

Aniket vijay Kalbhor - just escaped from him. i posted my rental property in OLX - i asked him to share working ID, Adhaar. he shared both with family photo. he said he is transferring to Shimoga Airport CISF officer. I believed by seeing his all ID. then he asked me to add his account that is Army account number (which is fake). I saw his complaints in this forum and recording his voice and said you are fake then he started scolding and cut the call. such brilliance to eat others money. Aniket, why cant you earn money by sweating out - dont spoil Indian Army name. (Our police are useless - not able to catch this kind of easy scammers?)
