Apollo Hospital — Negligence about surgery of doctor, staff and management.

Address:Greams road, chennai.

I am Pallabi saharia from Assam I took an appointment in Apollo hospital greams road chennai. I came here for my treatment for multiple calculus in both kidneys. I took an appointment with the senior doctor Dr. R.Jayaganesh, registration no- 44299 ( dept. O[censored]rology) on 26th of December 2023. After consulting him I did my SURGI PACK-1 and CT SCAN KUB WITH CONTRAST for a total amount of 35, 400. After seeing the reports he asked me to prepare for the surgery on 29 December 2023, on that day as they suggested I took a small amount of tea and two biscuits and I reached the hospital by 10Am on 29th December. They took me to surgery at 6 PM in the evening. After when I got my senses back I felt severe pain on the left side kidney and was continuously vomiting. I kept telling the nurses and the doctor who were in charge to call my doctor but none of them responded and neglected my request. They did not even change my dirty vomiting clothes. They gave me painkillers but even then I was shouting in pain. After that they decharged me in the middle of the night (2AM). I asked them how will I be able to go in such pain and requested them to admit me they didn't care about the fact and released me, somehow I managed and I went to our room in that middle of the night and was continuously vomiting throughout the night and was admitted to the emergency room by ambulance the very next day. During this time I called the doctor many times, but his two assistant doctors came and saw me and said ''the pain is due to gas and dehydration". After giving me saline, pain killers and pantop injection I felt a little better and they released me at 9:30 PM. But after I arrived in my room the pain started again and it was much worse than the previous day. I screamed all night and went to the emergency room again the next day, they asked us for 20, 000 but I fought even in so much pain and asked them to call my doctor immediately. I kept telling them that something was wrong with my surgery but they made fun of me and left. Finally my doctor told me to go to apollo spectra. We went there immediately.. there he gave an injection and did an X-ray. Then it was found that my left stent had slipped down and that's why it hurt so much.. And then they operate me again on 1st January 2024 and fit it. Again after 2 days of continuous vomiting I finally felt a little better today.
Now my question is why they neglected me so much. I am an educated working woman if they had done this to someone like me what would happen to our ignorant people?.Is money everything?. Earlier they told me the surgery charges would be 1.50L - 1.70L but after surgery they showed the charges were 2.24 L (excluding the tests). They charged Rs4000 as an emergency charge on the first day and Rs 55000 on the second operation. Not to mention the rest of the cost of medicines, X-rays etc.
What are these things? Is this your "Apollo Centre of Excellence"? and another strange thing is that I got a message on my mobile today saying "thanks for my great feedback" but I have not given any feedback yet. Yesterday when I went to open my catheter the secretary filled up my papers and asked me to give her an OTP number and I gave it. Maybe then they wrote a good feedback themselves. Wow this is your job. You people are cheating thousands of our people in such a way who comes to you with so much faith and belief and hope. I have kept photos of them making holes in three places to fit a single calendula. I will not let this case go easily no matter what you do or do not. Whatever happened to me happened. But I will have to fight this fight for others like me and I will.
