Artemis Hospital Gurgaon — Artemis Complaint
I visited Artemis Hospital Emergency Room at 19:49 on 8/9/15 as I was suffering from 100 fever. They asked me to lie down to start the procedures. Then one lady doctor (one of the ER team) came and asked me some common questions to diagnose the illness. Though the symptoms were not for Dengue n Malaria she kept on asking me to get those tests done. I felt very suspensions about her that why is she forcing me to get those done. Then after 10-15 mins one more doctor( Arpit Jain) came and checked throughly. I thought it's the normal check up and once done they will prescribe and let me go but it doesn't ends here. Dr. Arpit Jain asked to get CBC done and forget about Dengue & Malaria. Post giving the sample I was asked to clear the bill at the reception. When I went there I was surprised to hear the amount Rs 2040. When I asked for the break up: CBC : 440 Non ER Emergency Consultation: 1600. That is certainly a huge amount to pay just to prescribe Calpol n Pan DSR. Any general could do that, hospital doesn't need a Specialist to write that. I need to contest this as I wasn't given an option to chose the Specialist or not. What if I don't need a specialist consultation which a general physician can do. This is so disappointing and would like to report this as a customer is very dissatisfied. I feel like I am cheated and mislead by Artemis ER Staff. They were not transparent and I don't think I will be coming here ever again. I have paid the amount at that moment but I want to raise this to get the resolution asap. If not received within the timelines then I will not hesitate to approach consumer court n press. Please find attached copy of invoice n prescription.
