Asianet Digital — Set Top Box not working
The power indicator of my cisco set top box is flashing red continuously and hence i cannot watch tv. When enquired with asianet, they say i have to pay Rs.990/- to solve the issue. I wish to know the following: 1. Whose property is the set-top-box. Asianet or Me? 2. If it is Asianet, why do they charge for repair? 3. If it is Me, should I give back the faulty STB? 4. For whose benefit did the Government introduce STB; the consumer or the advertisers? 5. Why is Asianet not giving a copy of the list of channels that I will be provided when I opt for one of their plans? 6. Do we have a ombudsman for attending complaints like these? 7. It is for the service that we are paying and not for getting the equipment to our premises. So charging un-necessarily is an offence / crime. Was this information helpful?
